ScreenMark v0.2.1 released :)

First post updated with download: https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=51362.0

@Curt

Please feel free to provide feedback on the new global Hotkeys (SHIFT + ALT + S); they should work OK now in exchange of keeping the program icon present on the taskbar.

 Cheers!

Living Room / Re: Practical Space
« Last post by publicdomain on July 20, 2021, 11:16 AM »
You're right! With current tech near-space orbit would be the appealing choice for a viable business today . Perhaps this was a case of "topic focus mismatch"

...was thinking in terms of gravity control via EM fields dynamics.

(i.e. thinking about Nassim Haramein, et al., --on the fringes)

By all means please go on! I'm always keen to hear about viable technologies for harnessing space itself

P.S: /Vic silently goes back to coding July releases until the harmonious abundance network is online next month.
P.P.S. ("Practical Space" rings very close to my heart; to me, space is the ultimate universally-shared resource) Rest assured only light-hearted interaction @ the living room intended I'm all-in on Harmony & Love in here :-* Cheers!

Living Room / Re: Practical Space
« Last post by publicdomain on July 20, 2021, 09:55 AM »
Wonderful! Another thing to keep in mind: we ARE perpetually living IN space, only within a  "reality bubble" or "domain" that has gravity.

Just as a brainstorm: Neutralizing/balancing gravity locally may be the best way of preparing a certain local space for a "space gym" within Earth. Sort of leveraging the natural levity dynamic to our advantage (think "centrifugal/centripetal dance" in a very light fluid, first balancing then flipping the side that's winning).

It would be creating a local "space gym" right here on Earth, purely via fields... (hey! this is the "living room" section, anything goes :) )

--Please go on, I'm a total fan of finding use for the most universal resource there is: space itself

You may want to check this collection of skins & widgets: https://visualskins.com/tag/weather/

It's been a while since using LUA on my side. If you still find a need for it, I'm always willing to assist a fellow

Ok, so first basic run looks good!

Will give it a more involved trial over the next couple days.

Super!!!

We can integrate it to the original Enfolder's single-click activation functionality on your confirmation (i.e. by distributing EnfoldelSendTo.exe in a bundle, then auto-copying via the main program :) )

By all means keep us posted!

Hi Curt, thanks for pinging... currently, the project's ToDo list has a funky way of going. Since many members "evaporate" from the forum those who Ping by PM or posting get priority, as that's the main indicator of actual interest :)

...Currently doing EnfolderSendTo, GingerTG & yours concurrently.

Release order may be at random, but yes ScreenMark v0.3 is coming.

Thanks again.

(PS: feel free to Ping, Ping, Ping --Having feedback on the programs also keeps the motivation up on my side!)

Cheers!

Will see how I get on with Antidupl.

Hi Tom! How did it go? Are you still in need of a "date replayer" for your files? If so, I'm willing to give it a go :)

N.A.N.Y. 2022 / Re: N.A.N.Y. 2022 pledge: pdGet downloader v1.0
« Last post by publicdomain on July 08, 2021, 01:17 PM »
Good start

Thanks! We can say the program is +50% done due to code reuse from Aria2c, youtube-dl, URLdrop and URL player... Let's say we are "expanding the wheel" rather than truly reinventing it (to which there's no need anyway) :)

The main goal of the program is to have a single/unified interface for several download modules, featuring our very personal settings & custom "goodies"

My pleasure AMIGO :)

Development of sequential/macro downloader for the web comes in the form of the pledged pdGet downloader:

N.A.N.Y. 2022 / N.A.N.Y. 2022 pledge: pdGet downloader v1.0
« Last post by publicdomain on July 07, 2021, 11:51 PM »
Pledging a fully-working pdGet v1.0 for N.A.N.Y. 2022 with:

  • URLdrop + Web download macros (i.e. nkormanik's style)
  • YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other popular video sites downloads (via self-updating youtube-dl).
  • Torrent support.
  • Download server functionality. (This may motivate some people to get into personal servers)

That's my pledge & features' modules are meant to come in this exact order.

...I'm happy to shape a useful comprehensive downloader; these months are for lots of "coding fun"! :)

This isn't about this site- it's about another site.

Thank you! :) Post edited to make it more explicit the suggestions are for Gizmo to consider
466
Hello dear Jesse. Here are some possibilities/suggestions Gizmo may want to explore before closing...

Contact a niche free software hosting such as FossHost.com; they may be wiling to assist given it's an established community.

Contact a paid host that is known to support free software such as DigitalOcean.com, offering exclusive advertising in exchange of hosting (hey! Exclusive ads are better than no site!).

Keep the site running on a Kimsufi.com or Online.net server.

*Only* buy servers on Black Friday (cheapest pricing / annual plan) i.e. keep the site online for some more months "El Cheapo Way", then move to yearly with quite reduced pricing).

Monitor webs such as Lowendbox.com / Lowendtalk.com / Webhostingtalk.com and similar forums. Racknerd.com's Black Friday deals were great last year!

Run a hybrid operation: mirror as many static files as possible (i.e. downloads) on cheap file-oriented space then run the dynamic parts on minimal-but-capable resources.

Web hosting has come a long way in affordability  The dedi from the past is the cheap VPS of today :)

« Last post by publicdomain on June 21, 2021, 05:19 AM »
Hey Vic. Just wanted to check in on the progress :)

Hi C.! A humble first version should be seeing the light to close the month
473
Could we add the option to load also tomorrows forcast ?

Yes, sure! :) What do you have in mind? Extra parameter added to the program? (i.e. for passing "tomorrow" as argument).

It can also be integrated into regular operation, perhaps having 24-hour data always displayed on screen (regardless of day boundaries).

Fell free to express! I'm here to code it
