2. save the launch log file for each launch profile so when I restart the program I can see what has been done and what hasn't  (since you aren't interested in adding checkboxes) - this "history" would display when the program is restarted
 3. Add an option to the Launch Profile to display the last log or start a new one  (there *is* an option already in the program options to "Clear log before each profile launch" - but mine isn't checked and the launch log for the profile is always empty when I restart the program... 1.1.0 build 1)
 4. Option in the menu to clear the launch log for the selected launch profile

Currently, the launch log is not saved at all (per-profile or otherwise).  I need to think this over more before I decide if I want to make any changes regarding it.

I need to install a whole bunch of Windows Update files - .msu files.
I really don't much relish having to add the same command entry for each file.
It would be really nice if Splat had a batch command so I could run the same command on *each* file in a folder.

I can set up simple 1 to 1 hotkeys, but trying to combine them escapes me.
Example: I set up Shift+Win+G to open Gmail & Shift+Win+A to open Amazon.com. Both work fine.

I assume you set up each in a separate profile, right?  Something like this:

I tried Shift+Win+Z as a Combo to do both:
  1st I don't know whether the hotkey goes in Filename or Arguments column, so I tried both. Neither worked. OK, probably faulty commands then.
  2nd I don't know the syntax for hotkeys in Splat system, I tried {shift}{win}G & {win}G
  Every variation I try gets the error message: "not launched successfully. ErrorLevel: 2"

You can only hotkey a profile.  That is, you cannot hotkey individual entries so I'm not sure what you're doing here.  If you want to run two URLs with one hotkey, you can assign that hotkey to each profile like this:



Or, if you want to maintain your original separate hotkeys for each URL, then you can create a third profile with the Ctrl+Z hotkey that calls the first two profiles like this:

The latest feature that was added -- quit after making m3u file -- does not work if a folder is sent to sPlaylistmaker via the 'sendto' menu.

Say you have a long checklist and you don't want to sort it, but only want to see what isn't yet checked?
A view-toggle button to show/hide checked items would be a boon.

• High-ranking member of the Air Force JROTC squadron (nerd-ish)
• Captain of back-to-back state championship hockey teams (jock).

Still programming...and still playing hockey...at age 41.  Love it.    (Air Force career didn't work out...was denied entry due to migraines.  )

I'm sure there is loads of research about that stuff but I couldn't care less about it.

Regarding most of the items in your list, there are already "automated" options.  Commuting?  Take public transportation if you don't like driving or find a job that allows you to telecommute.  Preparing food?  Some folks love to cook.  If you don't, I'm sure there are plenty of restaurants around you that would be happy to take your money and provide you a meal.  Or, hire an in-house chef.  Laundry?  Same, take your stuff to the cleaners and have them do it for you.  Cleaning?  Hire a cleaning service.  Of course, all this stuff will cost you money but if you think that it wouldn't just because you want it "automated," you're being very naïve.  Don't kid yourself.  Everything costs something somewhere.

At any rate, if you automate all aspects of your life, what do you have left?  Not much.  That's what.  And, if you say something like, "Just automate the mundane things in life so you have more time for the fun things," I would tell you that that just goes hand-in-hand with the "immediate gratification" paradigm that we see more and more in the world (especially with the younger generation).  It's not healthy, in my opinion.  I'd rather feel like I've earned my so-called fun time by taking care of the mundane things that need to be taken care of.  That's called delayed gratification and I find that a much healthier paradigm (especially for children).  My wife and I aren't afraid to tell our daughters no and make them earn their fun time via chores, getting homework done first, etc.  This is the essence of delayed gratification and I fully expect the same of myself, too.

Externally manipulating a browser, say, with AHK or other macro program, is a notoriously difficult thing to do.  To do the type of manipulation you're asking about, in a browser, you will have to accomplish it via internal methods.  That is, you will almost certainly have to write a plugin/extension/add-on for each browser you want supported.  This would be MUCH easier than your statement of, "inject code into explorer, and manipulate it using hooks, and/or access internal memory directly."  I don't know that we have many browser plugin coders on DC, so you're probably on your own for this one.  I'd start by researching how to write a plugin for whichever browser you use.

If you're just looking to save time closing tabs, I'd suggest you look into using mouse gestures with your browser of choice (this assumes that you're not currently using mouse gestures, of course).  For instance, to close a tab in Firefox, I right-click and make an "L" shape.  Takes half a second and I still can maintain normal right-click functionality.

My mindset is the exact opposite of yours and I am willing to bet that your views are in the vast minority.  I think life would get pretty damn monotonous (not to mention invasive) if little things like personal hygiene were done for us on a scale you describe.  I rather enjoy taking a hot shower and don't see it as a wasteful inconvenience.

What if the space in the Monthly view could be toggled to show a single day's schedule for the next few weeks?  All the space would be available for viewing Sunday's shows for the entire month.  Then I could see at a glance if 'Revenge' was going to skip a Sunday.

Yes, I'm aware that the Monthly view text space is very tight with all those potential listviews.  That whole tab actually started as an experiment to see if I could manipulate that many listviews into an actual calendar without the code being (too) messy.  Ideally, for a calendar, one would probably use a control more suited to the task, i.e., not a listview.  Unfortunately, AutoHotkey doesn't have a better option that I'm aware of.  *shrug*

Of course, this can already be done in the Weekly view but one has to scroll down through all the days of the week to get to the desired next Sunday, etc.

I think the better option would be to just view the given series in the Series tab where you can view the airdates and easily see if a given week is skipped.

As an aside, it looks like the TheTVDB.com folks have completed a server move recently and everything seems much faster in epCheck in regards to searching for new series and updating current ones.  Woot.

So it seems that now it keeps a history of wallpapers. Is that history's length limited, and if so, how (a certain amount of memory, a maximum number of images paths and names, some other method)?

I suppose a bit of explanation is in order:

1) When you click the "Start wallpaper switching" button, Spews creates a list of images based on what you can configured and checked in the "Image folders" section.  The list then has any dupes removed and is randomised.  This method removes any chance that a wallpaper will be seen twice during a list's run.
3) Spews then uses this list, starting at the top and moving in order but remember the list is randomised every time you start the switching so the order is not the filepath image order.
4) Selecting the previous wallpaper goes back one image, at a time, in the list.  However, selecting next wallpaper ALWAYS goes to the next random wallpaper in the list.

For example, let's assume you have your list of wallpapers that Spews has randomised and is now switching through.  Image #3 is displayed on your desktop.  Selecting previous wallpaper would display iamge #2.  Selecting previous wallpaper again would display image #1.  Selecting next wallpaper (or having the next image display on your configured time interval) would display image #4.  At this point, selecting previous wallpaper would display #3, #2, and so on.  Maybe slightly illogical, yes, but I would have had to create a second "next wallpaper" function which seems a bit inelegant to me.

So, to answer your question, Spews doesn't use any more memory for this functionality (because it's using the same list).  Clear as mud, eh?

I've set the web page to show temps in Celsius, however the app seems to only show Fahrenheit - I'd like to change the reported temperatures to Celsius if possible rather than Fahrenheit, I couldn't see a way of doing so in the app.
