1. Please make an option to save files but without lock icon (Windows shouldn't recognize it) and that it wouldn't be self-extracting exe. It should be accessed only throught FSekrit menu Open file.

Why?

Let say I live in a country with a represive regime. I get a visit from a policeman (not stupid, but not bright either). He checks my comp. He then finds files with lock icon. He doesn't know what are they so he double clicks on it. A window opens requiring from him a password. Just because I have password protected files it could cost me my freedom i.e. I could go to jail or they would torture me until I would tell them the password.

Truecrypt and Dscrypt are great because files are recognized as unrecognizable (you have to make that in Options), by double clicking on them you will get a window asking you Which programm should I use to open it. If that policeman asks you what is this unrecognizable file, you can just say It is just a leftover from a messy uninstalation. He can't tell for sure it is a encrypted file.

Weird scenario, but self-extracting exe files are not great idea for all users.

Does this make any sense?

2. When you save file as read only, you are not allowed to save it once more to some other location for backup (if you mistakenly delete it) - the options remain grey. Why is that? By normal saving, you can save the same text multiple times without fuss.

Have a nice day!

I have decided to have only Filename checked. I pushed a vertical line to the right so it is aligned with Trout border line. When I drag and drop a file into it, border moves to the left again.
Can I prevent that?

Do you have the following checked?: Menu > View > Auto-justify columns on load

Thanx. it works now.

Just two question more and then I will stop pestering you:
Did you ever played with idea that you would put stop, forward, etc. buttons in one line at the bottom of Trout and volume beside it like in movie players like Kmplayer, PotPlayer etc.?
Could you make stop, forward, etc. buttons colorless (without black color inside)? The first thing I notice in Trout when I open it are the buttons  :D (they are too big anyway - even for person with glasses like me  :D).

Keep up with good work and have a nice day.

For paranoid users:

Add possibility to encrypt with Serpent algorithm (it is apparently even more secure than AES, but slower and more difficult to implement)

and

implement 2-pass encryption mode: pass 1 Serpent, pass 2 AES

Just kidding. FSekrit is good enough as it is. :)

For those who need Serpent or some other algorithm (or 2-pass encryption mode), there is ClipSecure (http://sourceforge.n...projects/clipsecure/). You can mix 5 chaining modes, 6 hash types, and 7 algorithms to find your ideal security formula.

Ok. I changed the extension so changelog is now included. Mods on the forum will hopefully remove the old version with my new one on extensions page.

You can sleep calmly now.  :)

Extension are really small: the version without automatic copy/paste is only 48 kb big, while the other one (with automatic copy/paste) is 270kb big now.

Actually, it was made last year and works just fine. I just now realised that changelog was not in there. I will include changelog, I promise.

I just made a version where you can only open the Fsekrit and then click on paste. My friend from forum made autoit script so text is pasted automatically. He is smarter than I am.  :(

You select text in your browser - right click - on menu you select send to Fsekrit. Fsekrit opens with text in it. You just have to click save as and put a password in. Simple  :)

Is it Ok for you if I make an extension for browser so if you select text-right click-on menu click on send to fsekrit, text is coppied into your software automatically (basically, it just opens fsekrit directly from browser and copy text in it) and leave the changelog.txt out of the package (readme.txt and fsekrit.txt will still be there)?

Sorry for bugging you:

I have decided to have only Filename checked. I pushed a vertical line to the right so it is aligned with Trout border line. When I drag and drop a file into it, border moves to the left again.

Can I prevent that?

And please add Select all, Select none under View-Columns.

Under View-Columns, I have only Title, time and and Filename checked. Now, when I move vertical border line from one of them to expand them, if I am not careful, others which are unchecked pop out. You have to put the cursor just right (the cross have only one straight vertical line and not two) so you can move the line to expand the one column you want.

Can you make a button which would enable only expaning of the columns and not opening the columns which are not selected?

Trout is already at 1.0.4 build 28 and not 27. Please, change this on the first page.

Put a volume let's say on 11, then open minibar and it shows pre-set volume level at around 70 or so. They should be synchronized to show same volume from the start.

If you move Trout minibar around, what is that object that shows up near the fish icon and starts moving when you move your mouse?

I do not know if you have already implement this ( I have not found it):

Could you enable drag&drop support in the playlist itself? I sometimes want to move some track up or down ...

Could you make option to lock columns? When I drag some track into Trout, time and size get moved outside the screen (they move right)...

Could you make an option to disable that album cover pic thing? I do not want to look at words No cover. Sometimes I have some pics in the folder with songs, so Trout uses one of them and shows it like it is a album cover pic, but it is not and it does not have anything to do with a song.

Great player, by the way.
