Post New Requests Here / Switch to window while alt tabbing
« on: November 23, 2009, 03:19 AM »
Wouldn't it be useful while alt tabbing that the corresponding window is switched to? In that case you can more easily switch to the window you want, right?

« on: October 26, 2009, 09:14 AM »
I want to use my laptop for a presentation and allowing people to use my mouse to navigate through screens. Although, I want to temporarliy disable the right click of my mouse. Is it hard to disable it? Also, I would like it if the left mouse button will be disabled after every click for 10 seconds.

Post New Requests Here / IDEA: Small HTML color swatch
« on: August 25, 2009, 10:55 AM »
Hi there,

I wonder if there is an app which alows me to pick some colors, display them in a table, each 20x20 pixels, and when I click it I get the code copied (like #717171). When you click an empty one, you can pick one in a color panel, or add one manually. This app should have with 2 rows of each 10 spots for a color. Always on top function aswel.

Coding Snacks / IDEA: Create text phone number from phone number
« on: August 12, 2009, 09:03 PM »
You got these 1-900-INEEDCASH phonenumbers. But I wonder what combo's are possible at my own mobile number? Or home number. I want software where you enter a sewuence of numbers, and then it will look in a word list for words.

Is that hard to do? I would think of this as a webservice, but software would be fine.

It's about when you have your left mousebutton down, while holding shift. It will either move over the x axis or the y axis, it picks the closets one... This is doable right? Name: Axisnap

I know of cairoshell, which is going to be a good one (i guess), when finished (they are in alpha now...)

But are there any other good ones?

Find And Run Robot / How to make a web search in FARR
« on: July 18, 2009, 03:34 PM »
I want to create a websearch for How do I create a correct alias for this?

Remove empty folders and folder not larges than a specified limit, in a folder specified by a user. Not that hard I guess? has no file size limit, that sucks.

So when any other thing than the desktop is active, hide the icons. When is the desktop active? When clicked upon, or some shortcut key is pressed (windows key + d, windows key+m) or the show desktop icon is clicked on the quick launch bar.

Hi there,

I often have many folders with in each 1 file, which I have to extract. Is it possible to simply get all the files in these folders (including files in subfolders) out in a specified folder?

General Software Discussion / Radio Software with Webinterface
« on: June 12, 2009, 01:29 PM »
Hello there,

I once had this piece of software which was quite nice: It made a mediastream which streamed over the web, with a stream you can open in most kinds of media players. It also had a web interface, where you were able to queue songs you want to be played, otherwise it would've played randomly, selected from pre-configed folders and stuff. Does anyone know the name of this piece of software of anything that is like this? It is not Orb or Winamp Remote. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I can recall that the logo was gray background with something orange.

Finished Programs / Coding Snack: Switch Filenames
« on: June 06, 2009, 06:11 AM »
Let's say, i've got 2 files: filea.jpg and fileb.jpg

But I want filea.jpg to be fileb.jpg and fileb.jpg to be filea.jpg. Normally the filenames I want to switch are longer, so it takes longer to switch them, because I have to copy/paste twice and stuff. I want a simple tool where I can drop 2 items and they will switch filenames.

Thanks a lot in advance! :)

I was googling and found this masterpiece of software: It just does it job, soooo damn well!

Screenshot of the settings window:

Screenshot of the start window:

I renamed 148 episodes so far, seamlessly! The best part: It's freeware!

General Software Discussion / Photo Scanner Software
« on: May 24, 2009, 04:04 AM »
Hi There,

some time ago I was looking trough photo books with my girlfriend, and I thought: What if the house burns down. Those memories are extremely valuable. I've a scanner, this one:multimedia_HP Flatbed Scanner.jpg

The problem is: What software should I use? Could I use software so that I could scan like 3 pics at the same time? What is the most efficient way to do this?

There are many pictures, like 500~1000 of 'em.

« on: May 21, 2009, 04:56 AM »

Puts some files in a user specified folder
Puts some files in a my documents sub folder

Is that hard to create?

Post New Requests Here / IDEA: Taskbar toolbar mod
« on: May 02, 2009, 07:18 AM »
I've created my own taskbar toolbar, but I want some modifications there. I would like to be able to make a folder doubleclickable which launches a specified shortcut, and I want to see what it's like with larger icons and some higher line spacing.

General Software Discussion / MTP Sync Software
« on: May 01, 2009, 04:29 PM »
MTP is a default protocol and stands for media transfer protocol. I'm looking for a very simple piece of software which allows me to create playlists and sync them to a mp3 player supporting this protocol. Songbird has it build in, but I'm looking for something different than songbird. WMP is a no-go, because it sucks.

Is this possible? To convert a picture to a pdf file which can be printed on a4 or a3 (specified by user) and with preview function. Something like Rasterbator, but without the dot function. I've this really big image which I like to print on several a3's. A friend of mine can print it, but I have to mail him something, he is not installing software...

Site/Forum Features / Feature Request: Copy Code
« on: April 29, 2009, 04:20 AM »

Living Room / Post your desktop
« on: April 27, 2009, 05:01 PM »
Hi there,

I always find it fun in a comminuty to create a screenshot of your (fysical) desktop. Ill kick of with mine:
click zoom

Used rainmeter for the clock and most of the stuff on secondary screen (right). Used tweakui to remove the arrows from shortcuts. Royale theme from windows, used QTaddresbar for vista like effect. The videoplayer is GOMPlayer with Ambient Skin. Volume thingy is 3rvx.

Maybe kind of useless, but I really wonder what my pc looks like when the corners are overlay with a black image of an outer corner.

Like this.

So 4 times this image, and later on maybe multiple monitor support. Maybe with the ability to set the radius of the rounded corner?

I want to be able to sync my Nokia calendar to google calendar, but that is not possible yet. You have to first sync to outlook and then to calendar or do it via mobile services which are too expensive for me.

Living Room / I'm bored, what to do?
« on: April 17, 2009, 10:25 AM »
I'm bored, really bored. I've played my games, watched tv and now I do not know what to do?

Sometimes I like to play with a new piece of software, some fancy website with cool services, you name it.

This is not about handling mailto: links but about opening gmail in firefox when a default command is given to open the mailclient (currently outlook)
