At this point, it's impossible. Otherwise, then there would never be any reason for you to upgrade to a new version, and we'd go out of business. That's bad for us AND bad for you.

If you don't want to purchase a renewal, you can still keep using the program. It will never expire, but you won't be able to use the latest version (to be released in July 2011).

Can you offer free lifetime updates to DC members?

Sorry, free lifetime updates cannot be covered within this promotion. However, I can offer extra 6 months of free updates and tech support. That is 24 months overall. How does this sound?

flexhex ... (context menu in 64bit vista doesnt work btw)
I'd appreciate it if you contact support about it - and please let us know if you run into any more issues.

im not sure if im being able to reactivate that product either when switching over to win7 since hw-id?
That shouldn't be a problem. But if there is a problem we will be on the case, just drop us an email.

Reshacker knows nothing about Vista and Seven ;)
In my biassed opinion, Resource Tuner is more robust and stable than Resource Hacker, opens and edits files that Resource Hacker chokes on, supports and visualizes more resource formats (eg PNG, HTML, XML and manifests), has built-in unpackers for UPX and Upack, the manifest wizard, etc. The upcoming v2 will handle 64-bit files and (hopefully) cover all your resource editing needs.
Ironically, Angus Johnson, author of Reshack, is a registered user of PE Explorer.

PE Explorer is scheduled on Thu, 16 July 2009
http://www.bitsdujour.com/software/pe-explorer/

I was often told that our software is not worth even $0.05. And that we should stop producing software. For whatever reason, resource editing software apparently isn't viewed as a necessity by a whole lot of people. One of life's mysteries. On the other hand, our customer base is surprisingly huge. Who are all those people?

« on: February 18, 2009, 12:58 AM »
Greetings from the Wasteland of Resource Editors! We at Heaventools are preparing a big big major 2.0 update for Resource Tuner in few months. In my biassed opinion, Resource Tuner will not be either limited in features or buggy, and of course it's not dead. Actually, we hope to cover all your resource editing needs with this new release. But if you have something special in mind, let me know.
