Living Room / Re: Artists: Share your artwork with the forum!
« on: March 20, 2018, 05:24 AM »
And I'm not talking about professional artists, just people who enjoy creating art... We just want to share a little in your life!
Well calling Barbara Bickell arts as doodles will be wrong. I also am astonished how extraordinary her arts are, than we normally perceive. My congratulation to her.

I do not get time to doodle, but my son used to do some on the computer when he was 4/5 years. If Ok then I will search for them in hdd and post.

Just saw the headlines "Stephen Hawking considered Artificial Intelligence as threat to humanity" in news but did not read it. Now I read that he has shut down. So was that his last words ?

We are rushing towards AI to easy our daily work pressure. May be we should stop and ponder.

N.A.N.Y. 2018 / Re: NANY 2018 Release: Stick A Note (Enhancement)
« on: March 10, 2018, 10:49 AM »
Hi Ath,

Thanks for the feedback.

1. 200 x 200 is the reasonable small size I found. Still I will try to give smaller options.
2. rtf or html compatibility is not possible as of now. I will try to give text/font option for whole note.
3. Will try color selection for text, as whole.
4. Will  try for transparent or translucent notes.
5. This is most asked feature, will try it.

Also will try for note move and size via mouse.

Well I said "will try" :)
At present I am in my year end work pressure (31 March is the account closing in India for tax purpose) for my accounting software users.

If you can get it to follow my eyes and highlight the area I look at that would be great :D
We have already done "using voice recognition" https://www.donation....msg416792#msg416792

Wait for us to code to follow your eye. Problem is your stray look at the passing beauty is affecting our highlights :)

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your suggestion.

When I get old and can not do justice to my apps, I will open them up :)
Feature request are always welcome, though it may take time for me to complete them as I have huge pressure of my bread and butter job.

Official Announcements / Re: New DonationCoder, New Ideas
« on: January 21, 2018, 12:10 PM »
I myself have least time to write anything meaningful other than coding for my clients. But as a "reader" I feel we can have once a month update for different topics, say on 5th of month we have humor (let us begin with some laugh), then on 15th or so we have "technical tips" and so on.

You see, I myself may not find enough time every week to go through each topics but can get time in a month.

So I feel we can have it spread over a month, if all agree.

Anand

Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: delay IN sendkeys?
« on: January 15, 2018, 04:49 AM »
Hi Herchi,

Most probably the java app is processing slowly and this delay gives it time to focus at next get before input of the keyboard keys. I have encountered this type of scenario, not only in java but other languages too, and sleep does helps here.

Living Room / Re: Did you know DoCo has a Facebook Page? You do now!
« on: January 15, 2018, 03:40 AM »
As far as I understand, we are trying to expose DC to more to the new generation and I think it is right.
We all are getting old and DC needs new blood. The new blood is too busy in Facebook, Twitter etc. than we old geeks. So we need to move to their places to make them take note and get interested.

I don't think it harms if we can get it in simpler manner.

Find And Run Robot / Re: How to search only .exe files?
« on: January 12, 2018, 11:22 AM »
Under the "Mark Topic" button at the top and bottom of a thread you can bookmark the thread and do other things like this.
Thanks. Marked it. But it is not the same as I wished.
I want to mark  a specific message and not the full topic which may have many messages. Also same for bookmark, i.e. a specific message is bookmarked for later perusal.
Anyway, this will do, till we have what I require. One more suggestion is to show text as "Mark Topic .." so that we get the idea it has something more. Now it looks like a button for one job.

Regards,

Anand

Find And Run Robot / Re: How to search only .exe files?
« on: January 11, 2018, 12:23 PM »
just add the ".exe" to the search as a separate word, or whatever extension you are looking for.
Wow ! I never knew I could do that, all these years of using FARR

Do we have a "Like" button for a message ? It would be good as some forums allow to like a message. Also "Bookmark" a message.
