Problem with outlook 2003

I am having a problem with Outlook 2003. The problem is that all of my attachments, when opened from Outlook, are opened in internet explorer (word, excel, powerpoint, pdf, etc). How can I set outlook to open these with the proper application or prompt me as to which application should open them?

weird. I might not be a "file types" problem, but maybe it is...
I don't know if this is a stupid suggestion, but maybe you could try to check the settings for the outlook items in "folder options".
