Windows 11, FARR takes minutes to load

Hi there,

On my workstation, we (company I work for) recently switched from Windows 10 to 11 and since then, FARR is only available several minutes after the user logged on. I kind of assume that it's a Windows issue and not related to FARR at all, but I still like to ask if anyone had similar experiences and found a solution. I can manually start FARR right after I have logged in and then it's immediately ready to be used, but the "Start automatically when Windows starts" is also ticked, so if I don't start it manually, FARR will be available in the tray about 5 minutes after the user has logged in. I could try disabling the "Start automatically ..." option and simply add a shortcut to the start-up folder, but anyway, having a properly working out-of-the-box solution like ticking the box in the options would be the preferred way.

Anyway, I still love FARR and as long as I am using Windows, it'll be my No 1 tool I'll install right after I have finished installing Windows .

I use it a lot on win 11 and have never had such an issue - if you want to debug you could run procmon and trace to see whats going on.

Most likely you have also got your Home directory stored in OneDrive, as companies often do, to ease 'backup' of users' files. That tends to be quite slow, especially on startup.
Maybe moving the software and configuration to an explicitly local folder on your PC solves this.
