Hey guys,
I’m one of the devs behind StarDesk. I started building it because I was always bouncing between my laptop, phone and desktop just to play games, and I really wanted one main rig I could use from any screen and couch, bed, or on the go.
StarDesk is a remote desktop app focused on cross-devices gaming. You keep one main Windows PC or Mac at home, and use your other mobile or PC devices as a window into that machine.
Right now:
- You can use a Windows PC as the main gaming rig
- You can connect from Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android
Mac is a big focus for us. Today it’s a smooth client to control your Windows gaming PC, and we’re also working on making Mac a full host.
A few quick highlights:
- Very low latency and smooth input so games still feel responsive
- High quality stream up to 4K so UI, text and graphics stay sharp
- Completely free in early access with all features unlocked
Setup is simple: install on both devices, sign in with the same account, and click your host to connect. Great for grinding dailies, managing inventory, or playing from the couch without moving your tower.
Official siteI’d really appreciate any feedback on the product, the story behind it, onboarding, and even future pricing ideas. Or just try a session and tell me what feels rough or missing.
