N.A.N.Y 2026: Coding Snacks

Hello & good day once again, friends! 🙌 Thank you for keeping the GREAT DC community and spirit alive!

Just wanted to share that my current focus is on preparing Coding Snacks for N.A.N.Y. 2026:

This month I’ll be working on completing the 2025 releases and going through the Coding Snacks section in anticipation of the upcoming N.A.N.Y. event.

The naming might be a little confusing, but apps released for NANY 2025 are supposed to be finished/released no later than January 1, 2025. Apps for NANY 2026 should be completed and released no later than January 1, 2026. They are New Apps for the New Year, as in for New Year's Day. So NANY 2025 was 11 moths ago, and there's just one month left before the NANY 2026 deadline. That said, the deadline was never incredibly strict, so if a submission was a week or so late, it was usually still counted among the NANY releases.

Also, Coding Snacks are something entirely different from NANY, and are welcome at any time of the year. So code away!

Oh, just a quick clarification:

- The NANY 2025 pledge was released months ago. An update to the published app is still due—meaning a new version of the NANY 2025 program that originally came out at the beginning of the year.

- The new NANY 2026 pledge will be drawn from the Coding Snacks section. I’m currently browsing that area (and its sub‑sections) to select a request from fellow DC members that I’ll develop into a program for the upcoming 2026 event.
