Feature request: alter drop shadow opacity
« on: March 29, 2018, 12:21 PM »
The image editing features are very useful, however there is one that I seldom use: drop shadows. The reason is that they are too strong! I wish there was a way to alter their opacity and (possibly) their distance from the object.

If you go into Options, under Special Effect Options you will see some options for sharos and feathering/blurring, etc.  See if that helps.

It does - although I have to increase the radius a lot and reduce or remove the offset to make it softer.

I'm not sure what changing the shadow background color does - I've set it to pure red to test, but haven't seen any difference.

I'm trying to remember what the shadow color does (or did!).. Right now SC is using transparency to do the drop shadow effect.
