Good News! US Supreme Court disallows jurisdiction shopping in patent disputesSomething that absolutely had to happen has finally happened. The US Supreme Court (SCOTUS) has effectively barred "jurisdiction shopping" where anyone alleging a patent infringement was free to file in East Texas or Delaware - where certain courts had developed an almost cottage industry of being friendly to patent holders - no matter how dubious the the claims being made.
