WinRAR: 1/3 off
« on: December 04, 2016, 08:34 AM »
Looks like there is a notable offer:

https://shop.win-rar...purl-winrar_tipradar

Not sure when it will expire though. After having played with Bandizip for a couple of weeks, I might, however, give WinRAR another spin for this price.

Your first link is for a $20 purchase (and you can add maintenance for about $4), the second link is for $29 (maintenance included).

Is there a reason to pay $5-9 more more with the the second option?

Ah, it seems like this is calculated depending on where you are located. The second one is cheaper in Germany. Sorry!

in Denmark:
€20.96 = $24.36 + VAT = $30.45 against
€16.81 = $19.53 + VAT = $24.41

Normal price $34.80 + VAT

it seems like this is calculated depending on where you are located.

Not sure what this Upgrade Assurance is...I won a license here at Donation Coder years ago & have never had any problem upgrading to the latest version at no charge.

And BandiZip is an awesome program, but remember that only WinRAR allows one to create RAR archives.

Yes; while UnRAR is free software, RAR is not. Clever marketing, actually.  :)

WinRAR, man this brings back memories. Finally caved and bought a license several years back. Still have my rarkey.rar somewhere around here (although I use the Mac platform now).

This brings back memories like that of my mIRC license. Talk about a throwback Thursday!

The good thing with mIRC licenses is that they are lifetime licenses too. Still a valuable addition to my toolkit. :)
