I have tried the program "Custom desktop logo", from this forum, and I wondered could it be modified to display the a transparent window with a blend mode "color" (like in Photoshop) rather than alpha blending.
The reason for that is that my TV screen has color variations that need to be corrected. With alpha blending it fixes the color tint, but italso reduces contrast in the underlying picture.
I am trying to understand how this program works, from the source, but before I spend too much time into a dead end, perhaps some experienced developer can tell me if this would be possible at all.
