mentioned this book more than five years ago. I've seen
The Art of Unix Programming referenced somewhere else last year and read through it alongside working on
txtproc, which it very much applies to. I've found it both interesting and instructive (and not only related to command line tools
). While the history it teaches and the spirit it conveys are still very relevant today, some of it is definitely outdated. There's no mention of Markdown whatsoever for example.
