I Hate IHeartRadio
« on: September 20, 2015, 06:04 PM »
Is it just me or is it set up deliberately so that it is impossible to just directly enter a radio station's call letters and listen to it via IHeartRadio.? Because in 1/2 dozen attempts several hours long each, across several years I have never figured out how.

I am talking about IHR affiliated stations.  Not just entering any old call letters.  In fact I have never found an input for the call letters.  They make you scroll through endless pages of everything but what you want to hear.

Maybe they want you to (sign up and) use their app? http://news.iheart.c...iheartradio-app-240/

I have W8.0.  It comes with the app.  There is no way to just enter the call letters.  You have to endlessly page through the pictures of the stations until you can click the one you want.  High school kids retire before they get all their stations added.  I see more and more of this on radio station sites.  It used to be you clicked "listen live" and then it may give a choice of player and that was that.  Now there is nothing to click on at many of these radio sites main pages.  It's like they designed it to see how long it takes you to figure out it is unusable. To play put the square peg in the round hole, but there is no hole.

Have you tried TuneInRadio? http://tunein.com/

I've been using it for years and can always quickly find the stations I want

If I find the play button directly on the radio station page they all time out after 30 seconds.  Even if the page will play a previously recorded show, it will not play a live stream.

Edit:  @Stephen66515 that seems to work for some.  Thanks for the link.  :)
