« on: December 22, 2014, 07:49 AM »
Can anyone recommend a simple exe to msi converter software?  Free if possible.  I am wanting to push out adobe reader to my windows machines.

Wix can do what you ask, but don't expect it to be simple ;D

I have looked at that page before.  I used one several years ago but don't remember the name of it.   :(

I found this, http://www.adobe.com...minGuide/basics.html , which may or may not have relevance.

Nice find Curt.  I had looked at their ftp site just yesterday and didn't find any msi files.  However, today I looked again and found one for version 11.

version 11 msi

Well, I can't fix it, the url handling code of SMF prefixes it with http:// and the link gets the colon removed after the ftp prefix :(
Manually fixing the url works though

ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.00/en_US/

is there a special reason why the forum doesn't / won't accept ftp URLs?
