Background Canvas

After capturing an image, adding a shadow and saving, the result looks great, but when I view it by clicking on the saved picture, the outer part of the page, or the canvas is always white. Is there a way to change the color of the canvas? Thanks

Preferences page "Interface Options 2" has what you request. Both the Canvas and the Thumbnail panel background colors can be set as you like.
