Fortunately, quick format doesn't really write over files. It just nukes their directory entries. So everything should be intact and recoverable from the drive in question assuming you haven't been using it in the meantime.

Download a free copy of Recuva here.

If it's recoverable in a usable form, Recuva will do it for you. If it doesn't, don't waste time or money on other recovery utilities. They may recover more sectors of data. But that data usually won't be usable by most people.

Luck!  ;)

Hello,

You can recover formatted partition by using data recovery software. This software not only recovers formatted partitions can also recover data from formatted USB drives, flash drives and memory cards.
Download the software and recover your data. :Thmbsup:

First: this post sounds like 100% spam.
Second: the site to where the previous post points has a fake tucows review (the text has an english orthography error, and I was unable to find it in tucows' site).
I have removed the link and kept the thread, since 40hz pointed a good option [which incidentally is also free].

@jgpavia - my suspicion as well! ;D

Which is why I took the time to point out a free way to deal with the issue in case: (a) someone less suspicious than we happened to read it; and (b) on the off chance it wasn't spam.

Hello to all,

As all the readers suggested same views of mine. Formatted partitions can be recovered by third party partition recovery software. Some are free, some are paid.  But it is not necessary that free software recovered your data, same for paid. Free software has their own limitations, not more than 1 gb data is recovered by free software and also not trustable. Just like that paid software is also failed if your partition gets severely damaged. I have used Stellar Phoenix & able to recovered my formatted partitions with this software. But first I would suggest you try its demo version, if it shows preview of formatted partition in demo version then software can recover your data otherwise go for another option…
