It's had a pretty good workout so far, thanks to a lot of customer support over the last day or two. No problems at all to report!

About the one thing I am really tempted to ask for, is to have it save its current screen position back to the ini file, so I can get it "just so" by eye and know it'll be back there next time.

I warn you now - don't ask for my ideas list  8)

Yep, this is something that was going to be added.

Just uploaded a new version with a slightly different look.  The drop zone doesn't have a caption any more so just left-click the form to drag it around.  An exit entry has been added to the right-click menu.  Size and position are saved on exit.  Let me know how you like these changes.  Thanks

Holy cow - and I missed the update from the 30th. Downloading now, and then I'll post some comments, just in case you feel inspired!

Just one teensy problem - it always starts up in the centre of my main monitor. The ini file values look ok.

Ok, here's my quick wishlist. But please note that all of this stuff is optional as far as I am concerned! Maybe if other folks also find this useful, (and how could they not?  :Thmbsup:) we could vote on what's most desirable.

  • Remove the 'DropZone' title from the Window (or make it editable)
  • Remove the border from the Window, or make it 1 pixel thick
  • Set the window colour so as to distinguish very quickly between different zones (I have a couple running already)
  • Make it sticky to screen and/or window borders

The first three are implemented including font colors.  Just add the following two keys to the [Settings] section and use hex colours e.g.:

BackColor=00FFFF
ForeColor=0000FF

Delete the entries or leave them blank to disable.  I will pass on your fourth request since I use allSnap to accomplish this functionality.

Marvellous! Colors and title bang on thank you. I have all pretty pastels ;)

But how do I make the border thinner?

It's already at a single pixel.  Did you want it completely gone?

Silly Windows 7.  Here's what it looks like on XP:

I've already got the window set to no caption and no border.  The Vista theme is adding that extra bit around your window.  I'm not sure there is much I can do about that.   :huh:

i think that has something to with the "Border Padding". see link below on how to reduce it. (the default size is '4').

Yyyep, that's fixed it all right. Good one - I don't see anything that's been compromised by reducing that border padding to 1.

Website | Download
v1.0.1 - 2011-02-09
    + Added third file operation method, "Ask."  Setting this will pop up a
      message box asking you if you want to copy, move or cancel.
    + Added 'About' entry to the right-click menu.

Very nice utility!  :Thmbsup:

Does one thing extremely well. Runs out of its own folder. Doesn't take a huge amount of RAM.

Wish they were all like that.

Does it have the capability of assigning to directories on flash drives where the drive letter may change? Be a terrific app for portable use if it did that.
