[search] for a hotkey - helper
« on: March 20, 2010, 06:59 AM »
Hi!

I'm starting with using emacs and search for a program, which shows me the possible Short-Keys when a key is pressed.
Example..
User presses the Ctrl Button. On the screen shuld come:
Ctrl-_    Undo
Ctrl-SPC Begin Selection
Ctrl-G    Cancel Selection
Ctrl-W Cut Selection
....

User presses Ctrl-X
Ctrl-X, Ctrl-F   Open
Ctrl-X, Ctrl-S   Save
Ctrl-X, Ctrl-W    Save As

that would be also awesome for other application like photoshop, office,....

does anyone know such a program?

I don’t have an answer for you but I would love to see this also. Currently I have to open the Help file or Options to see what the shortcuts are. If it is a program I use a lot I often print out a screen cap of the shortcuts and tape it up somewhere near my monitor for quick reference.

Thanks!
