IDEA: rename system tray items
« on: November 23, 2009, 09:41 PM »
I don't know if this is possible, but I was wondering if system tray icons could be renamed. Some don't have a title, or have a title that changes, so when their behavior is changed (between 'always show', 'always hide', and 'hide when inactive'), they revert back to the default of 'hide when inactive' after a system restart/startup. This problem should be solved by renaming these problematic icons. (See [link] for an example of an icon without a title.) Again, I don't know if it's possible, but I just find the way system tray icons behave to be a bit of an annoyance. Thanks!
