Two desktop DNS server questions
« on: May 27, 2009, 03:13 PM »
1.  I downloaded the latest version of TreeWalk DNS, but when I tried to install it, my Norton (anti-virus) flagged a trojan.  Is it a false positive?

2.  Have any of you tried Simple DNS Plus?  I did a year ago (trial version) and was very pleased with it, but found the price prohibitive.

Further suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

Norton is probably throwing a hissy fit - it kinda sucks anyway. Of course you can't rule out the possibility of somebody hacking the treewalk site and infecting the executables, but I find it more likely that norton being plain old crapware - at least that'd be business as usual.
