Looks like they're both pretty accurate in terms of time.  Within a second, anyway.  Were you wanting more columns in PlayTime?

That's nicer than the MediaInfo "sheet" interface now.  Just right click on a bunch of files and it opens up and loads.

More columns are a snap to add; are there any you would like to see?

Hmmmm, if you add audio and video codec then you'd have just about all the pertinent info from MediaInfo. The other thing, if I reposition the columns it seems to forget the order if I close and open the app.  Could you persist the column order?

I think soon I'm going to be taking MediaInfo out of my FreeCommander favorite tools list and putting PlayTime in.  It's more versatile esp. the context menu selection handling.  :)

Done.

+ Added a few more data columns.

Looks really nice.  Would it be possible to have the Filename column self-adjusting as it was before and have the other columns relative to it, if it is the leftmost column? The other columns will have pretty much known maximums so adjusting them once should be all that's needed.  But the base filename can vary in length quite a bit.

(The Path I'll leave in the rightmost column and chances are I'm right clicking in a folder so I know the path anyway. But with the self-adjusting base filename thingy, I won't have to work anything except the main scrollbars.)

I promise this is the last adjustment request(unless you can get it to pick winning Lotto numbers) :)

the file type icons and the additional columns are a very nice touch. pursuant to my earlier post, a way to customize the columns would be nice. i'd like to request for the ability to hide certain columns. thanks again for this wonderful tool. :-*

:)  Don't worry about requests.  I enjoy these sorts of apps.

If I add this, I'd have to do it like I do in Trout and other apps I've written that use a listview.  Basically, I just zero-width any column you want to "hide".  It's still there but you just don't see it.

lanux, here you go.  The only column you can't hide is the Filename colum.

v1.1.4 - 2009-08-01
+ Added ability to choose which columns are displayed.  You can find it
under the View menu.  (Thanks, lanux128)
    * Moved the "Say total time" to the Extra menu.

Not sure why but files that open fine in Winamp when double-clicked, such as .flac and .mp3 files, show a Winamp crash when double-clicked in PlayTime 1.1.4 on Windows7 32 bit (build 7077)

I got one error that said something about "mouse trap" in a red rectangle until I changed the Winamp skin.  Then with MMD3 skin it just crashes with the standard W7 "app name has stopped working" dialog.

Hmmmmm I changed the .flac association to VLC media player and it worked as expected.  Maybe it's a Winamp thing?

Hmmmm...I suppose so.  What I do in the code is akin to simply "running" the file in, say, the Run prompt.  Maybe try switching the association back and simply entering the full path to a FLAC file in the Run box?

Hmmmm, Winamp doesn't like being started from inside PlayTime it seems on W7. If Winamp is already open, then it just plays the file.  Something to do with launching with skins.  Works fine on 64 bit Vista.

I tried compatibility mode and Run As Administrator.  Does not help.  Strange.  For now I guess I'll just open Winamp first. :)

What happens when you run a FLAC file from the Run box?  Does Winamp behave the same way?

It looks like particular skins don't like launching out of PlayTime.  I just downloaded a different one and it works.  It's some kind of skin scripting error.  For some reason if I double click in explorer it doesn't happen.  I'll just have to use a different skin on W7.  No big deal.

The error box that pops up has a small font in dim red text on a black background.  If I try to get the magnifier out to read it, it disappears.  But it definitely says script error and something about mouse trap. Must be skin scripting stuff. If I find out anymore info I'll post it.

I guess it just doesn't like MMD3 skin mainly.  I'm trying a few others and they work.  The weird thing is, if I play a file out of PlayTime, and Winamp comes up with the different skin, then if I try to use MMD3 from the options menu, it crashes.  This is weird. :)
