Alphanumeric Telephone Number Converter
« on: January 20, 2009, 04:44 AM »
Well, I presume this is the right spot to put this (Mouser said something about the Coding Snacks forum)...
If not could someone please correct me and maybe move it?

I've written a small program to convert Alphanumeric phone numbers (eg. "1300 DIAL HOME") into regular numeric ones (eg. "1300 3425 4663").

It is available _here_.

Hope it's of use to someone.

Edit:
There is an Internet Explorer friendly version of the page _here_.

Could you make a program that does the reverse? So you could enter a numeric telephone number and it would give you the possible alpha combinations. Preferably allowing you to decide which parts of the number are converted to alpha.

Here's one free one, there more around if you Google a bit.
