ROFL!!

I can't wait for the model with no hard drive, screen, or wheel - maybe get 2x the battery life! ;D

FYI if anyone wants to download the video (to show on your PSP, phone, iPod, whatever), you can get it here (I had to decode the embed code to get to it):

"We're giving customers features they don't even realize they want them yet." ;)

No one will make me believe that the big wheel can be better for typing.

Ehhh. Some time ago I thought Apple knows about usability but now I doubt it. Something must be wrong with them: 1 button mouse 'till 2005 (IIRC), annoying top bar and lot of glitches proves against this thought.

2justice

I know this is a joke but I will not change my opinion. I'd used to think about Mac as really cool machine 'till I had to work with it (for 2 months).

I know I am Windows user but too many things was too annoying for me:
1. Alt+Tab showing apps which were supposed to be closed;
2. 30'' display and need to use menu;
3. Photoshop closing without any notice;
4. Omnigraffle switching off whole computer without reason;
5. few more...

That would frustrate me  too. :( The majority of creative industries use macs and run photoshop by preference. I don't think bad software and unfamiliar keybaord shortcuts should be attributed to the OS Manufacterer though.

Saw this earlier... and laughed hard at "I'll buy just about anything if it's shiny and made by Apple" - that sentence is just so true, and fits the majority of the mac-using fanboys perfectly. :-*

I most enjoyed the end where the announcer suggested it wouldn't be taken up in the workplace because people actually work there instead of just dicking around.  :-*

IMHO it would've been funnier if the reporter had been all for it - just like the typical media sheeple.

Watch the video again and keep your eyes on the ticker at the bottom.

I seen around at least one article that talked about the Onion's joke as if it was a real thing!  ;D

At work about half the creative staff were taken hook line and sinker to the end of the video.

Next up will be the noMac for the ultimate in zen-computing.

No screen, no drive, no CPU...just you...sitting in complete tranquility...visualizing yourself doing all these incredibly creative "things."

I think the next stage is just a surgically implanted wheel on the forehead ...

Sex is a topic that invariably generates more heat than light. ;)

Everyone I know prefers it to be dark... doesn't that defeat the purpose of shininess? (That's a word?!?!?!) ;D

It is if you're Kaywinnet Lee Frye (aka Kaylee).
