Circle Dock: Adding items by NOT dragging and dropping

Am I missing something? Is there NO other way of adding items to Circle Dock other than through drag & drop?

I would like to add hyperlinks containing URLs for example. Is this possible?

You will be able to edit the filepath/arguments that Circle Dock executes for each dock item in Alpha 8. I have coded this feature and am working on others right now. It should be out within a week.
