DcUpdater question
« on: February 15, 2008, 10:54 AM »
I downloaded 'DcUpdater' software from Donationcoder site and after
giving it the first try, find that it doesn't pick up 'Find + Run robot' in the
listing of programs to check in regard to updates?  Perhaps someone
can help resolve this issue for me?
Thanks

Hi rpiz!

Welcome to DC :)

Which version of Find+Run Robot (FARR) do you have? I'm not sure if the v1.x has DcUpdater support.

Anyways, try selecting "check for updates / install new plugins" from the FARR menu in the tray area (the place will a few icons, next to the clock), that should solve the problem :)

Hi Jgpaiva,
I tried your suggestion and activated DcUpdater from the tray, but it didn't
help.  I have version 1.13.02 of Find + Run Robot at present.
Thanks

rpiz,

Dcupdater generally does not any DC programs that do not have a *.dcupdater file in its Program Files folder.  When you have Dcupdater install the program it places one in there for you. Otherwise it is up to the program's developer to have that file in their program setup. If you are using older versions of DC programs they will definitely not have the required *.dcupdater file included.  A lot of the newer ones are also missing that file.

I just rebuilt my machine and installed all my DC programs - all latest versions. But DCupdater did not see most of them. I just went to the second tab on Dcupdater and had it download and install each program it said I did not have - they install right over the one that is already installed.  After that the Updater sees all of them.
