IDEA: rainfall recorder
« on: December 08, 2007, 11:48 AM »
Hi Coders

I wonder if someone could code a small program to record rainfall.

A running total for the year.
Ability to recall what days rain fell (date & amount) also (totals month by month)
Ability to compare the following years total with the previous year.(The running total)(month by month) idealy could be actually visible on opening program

What are you envisioning? A desktop app that will hook into a local meterological centre, retrieve this data, and then allow you to query it?

Hi Darwin

No not that complicated

Just a user entry of rainfall.

I have tried to source over the internet such a program but have not been able to locate anything,

I have in the past used a spreadsheet but that seems bulky nowadays.
