Does anyone know the formula for converting a cubic or cuboid volume into a cylindrical volume ?
Thanks

What's the unit to convert to? (n00b question maybe, or I just don't understand: Volume to Volume stays the same, AFAICS) cubic to cylindrical is just a different shape to me.

Yes -
scusi
- the question was incomplete, what I meant was this : I have a known volume in cubic shape and I know its dimensions, how can I work out the possible dimensions of a cylinder of the same volume ? Is that any clearer ..?

This is also the thing that Wolfram Alpha can probably do, since it's based on a serious mathematical engine (Mathematica):
http://www.wolframalpha.com/
For example I typed "
volume of cylinder vs cuboid
"
Result was an interactive page:

That's what this (
NANY 2014 Release - Engine Displacement Calculator
) does if you set cylinders to 1.
Bore is the diameter, and Stroke is the length.
