Favorites, save the filter settings for each site
« on: April 22, 2010, 08:54 AM »
I use urlsnooper on a bunch of different sites, and to quickly get the right stream out i always use the filters, but there is no way i can remember the filter settings for every website.
So what i do right now is plot it down in a text editor, website, protocol filter, keyword filter, also search for. And then go back to that text file to see what filter settings to use.
How about having the filter settings saved/loaded with the favorites feature?

i could add that without much trouble at all -- that's a good idea; will add it, maybe release a new version next week with this feature.

Updated a beta with this feature, give it a try and tell me what you think -- see help file for format to use.

One problem, the separator | is also used to separate the filter settings, so when using keyword filter's like this: cache|-redirect_counter|-googleads
It won't work.

good point, i'll have to change that then before the real release..

note you can also leave the website part blank just to save and load filter settings without opening a web page.

Did you find any solution for the separator issue? I suppose some char that is forbidden in url's should work? Like colon : or something.
