I've been silent, but I've been using it!  Two issues, probably not new, but still a problem...
  • It keeps bypassing my proxy - need proxy dialog?
  • Steals focus - yes/no/sometimes... I know this doesn't help much, but this IS what is happening.  Seems like it did not used to so this, but then it started??

I have been holding back from writing because I was waiting for a pattern to emerge.  None has, except now it is to the point where it grabs focus every time.

Any ideas?

Unfinished Requests / Re: IDEA: Text Editor just for text (stay with me)

I am using this tool.  I don't call it a "text editor" I call it a "writer's tool."  That's what it's designed for and that is where it shines.

Sounds like a good way to do it.  I can't come up with a better one.

If it is as handy as you say, the time/aggravation would be worth every penny (maybe more).  You would never miss the the two-hundred bucks.  Nice find!

Thanks, Skrommel.  Yes, I tried it (Thanks for the link), but it didn't really give me what I was after.

Well, maybe, but I was thinking more of a grid-type display that would be concise.

It would really be nifty to get same dimming function in DimSaver and apply it to the screen while I am *using* my computer.

It seems to me there is a vast, rich and untapped resource here at DC.  I wonder if there is some way we could brainstorm about how to make a list or something that would centralize the info.

Somehow I feel like I could recognize you by your words alone if you were sitting at the table next to me in a restaurant.  Your ability to "show" rather than "tell" with your words is excellent!

Well, I'd prefer the .xm format since it's tiny and there's some tiny libraries available for playback - would be fun fitting everything in 64kb, just like the good old days :-*
I don't have that technology yet, but I bet someone can convert wav/mp3 to .xm.  Just in case I'll see if I can find a freeware converter somewhwere.
