Oh.. I hadn't thought you might have another player open.

I could make it so that it clicks the button every 20 seconds, but then you couldn't use the mouse..

Maybe someone more knowledgeable should step in :) (skrommel? :D)

Curt: see if this will do it for you:

loop
{
sleep,20000
send,{media_next}
}

I didn't use the "click button" method, because that would require the window to be open, and to be the foreground window. So, I just made it send the "media next" keypress instead. It should acomplish pretty much the same.

It's definitelly interesting, zaine :)

I only think it's a bit too "simple", though. I'd like to see something like that, but with the shell-fu stuff!

« Last post by jgpaiva on October 10, 2008, 05:15 AM »
Oh, I think I know what the error is.
It's that the .grid files need the '/grid' before the name.
Try this:

2partvertical,3part,edge,dualscreen,grids/3-part.grid

So, are you saying that the default instalation has no grid cycle?

JGPaiva's GridMove and Ahk Tools / Re: Grid Cycling not working with .grid files
« Last post by jgpaiva on October 09, 2008, 12:32 PM »
Well.. What probably happened is that gridmove didn't update correctly.
My suggestion would be that you delete the gridmove folder (it doesn't make any registry entries) and try to install it again..

Living Room / Re: One answered question before you died
« Last post by jgpaiva on October 08, 2008, 07:25 PM »
Curt: sorry for not replying sooner, I wasn't following the thread.
Yes, I was saying exactly what darwin mentioned. I have nothing against/for religion, but it's a forbidden topic here at DC (as it can quickly evolve to an "hot" topic). I was just stepping in to call attention to the problem, as a topic like this could easly evolve to such discussion.

Still, it didn't, and I'm glad. Please do carry on, the questions are definitelly interesting :)

What are the winning lotto numbers for 2009?
I fail to understand what use would those number be to you.. Or are you assuming riencarnation? Still, how'd you be speaking the winning lotto numbers after 1 year of life? :)

Where do all the left socks go?
;D ;D ;D That's a good one! (even though my socks are exactly the same on both feet :P)

tiny vibrating pieces of string that everything in the universe is made of
http://simple.wikipedia.org <- /me has learned something new today! thanks edvard ;)

I just thought about something. If there'd be a all-knowing supreme-being answering my questions, and if I could make 2, I'd go for:

What's the question that will bring me the most benefit in the future?

and then I'd make the question that was the answer for that one :)

On the "eternal life" question, my take is that as long as you have an heritage (a general legacy on the world, be it family-wise, scientific, social, etc..), you'll live forever in the minds (or books) of others.. At least that's what I aim for :)

[edit] maybe we should refrain from trying to answer some of these questions, it could quickly turn into a pitfal, as obviously some of these are beyond our comprehension/belief and are inherently subjective.. [/edit]

Cleaner007 was spamming and has been banned, see more in this thread.
942
In case anyone is wondering, Cleaner007 was spamming and was banned after that was noticed on this thread.

J-mac thanks for the google search, I hadn't searched for the username.
In a previous thread I had already made the "are you affiliated with the company" question, and got no answer.
Given the fact that the user repeated the action without justifying himself, and is a known spammer, I'll delete the posts (remove link and product name) and ban the user.

[edit]ok, apparently I was late, and should have not removed the stuff from the previous posts... Very sory about that, I'll pay more attention next time. I'll link back from the other threads to this one. [/edit]

My question might be: What will happen to them? ("them" being the ones that were dear to me and stayed behind). I might come up with something better at the time, though.

CleverCat: you mean use this so that farr will come back when it crashes?

Currently, Exit.ahk only launches farr and then goes away until you start it again, so the answer would be no..

Living Room / Re: How do I make circle dock start up with windows
« Last post by jgpaiva on October 04, 2008, 06:21 PM »
I'm not sure if there's any option for that in Circle Dock, as I don't use it myself.
But if there isn't, all you have to do is drag the executable to your start menu -> programs -> startup.
(actually, that advice goes for anything you'd like to add to the startup :) )

JGPaiva's GridMove and Ahk Tools / Re: GridMove discussion.
« Last post by jgpaiva on October 04, 2008, 03:06 PM »
kragenspeck: No, you can't remove the other grids, right now.
Those are hardcoded. I have already coded a fix for that, just haven't uploaded it yet because there's still some other stuff to handle.

To minimize the window, gridmove doesn't include a hotkey for that. But you can check ou the "edge grid", which I think has a "minimize" hotspot, and then copy it to your own grid :)

Screenshot Captor / Re: How to backup/restore Screenshot Captor?
« Last post by jgpaiva on October 04, 2008, 05:12 AM »
Mouser's programs (and most programs here on DC) are portable, so everything you have to do is copy SC's folder to the other computer :)
950
As an ahk developer, I appreciate your efforts, mouser, but honestly, I don't think there's much to be done...
Your words are very true, more than once I've been put off from updating GridMove because of these false alarms.
Still, it's good to see that more and more people are being critic againts these false alarms and reporting them instead of assuming they're right.
Truth is, while those can distinguish a virus from a stupid warning, many many more just ignore the program.
