For file synchronization [link removed] i use <removed> - simple and effective. Very recommend 8)

Cleaner007 are you affiliated with Moleskin Software?
- all your four posts are promoting products from that company

It's not a problem if you are - just that you're supposed to say it.
This place is full of people who write software & recommend it - you'd actually come across a lot better if you were affiliated (and stated that) - now your posts just look like spam and have a high chance of being removed

give them a message (probably get you even more attention though!)

One of my favorite artists, Evan Roth, is working on a project that will be released soon - the pictures say it all, it's a "carry on" communication system. These metal places contain messages which will appear when they are X-Rayed.

« Last post by tomos on September 29, 2008, 02:57 AM »
Well, now this looks more obvious than before... even we are bit outnumbered here in northern europe (compared to western europe), we need some DC gathering too. Helsinki/Stockholm/Copenhagen... something like this should do the trick... I think I should start to think about this one.

simakuutio, have you seen the thread

I just can't place my pin on map - nothing happens!

I had that problem too initially - cant remember did I have to drag the pin from the edge or the middle -
experiment ;)

I guess I'm a lil slow, took me like 2 minutes to get the fun razor joke :P

I had to explain it to mouser before he got it. So I guess you're one of the other two cats who "getz it 2."

took me a while too but when I said it out loud (and slurred everything together :P) it clicked

the 10$ for 40 or 50GB seems to be a standard almost - there's probably so much demand at the moment there's not much incentive yet for them or others to offer something in between ... unfortunately

works here too

it shows up in AltTab as well but when I AltTab to it nothing happens -
not sure is something meant to happen - I used have a small programme on win98 (but not that long ago) where you could alttab to it - was possibly ahk too - it was especially helpful with win98 cause no Win key there

Living Room / Re: What Sports Do You Participate In?
« Last post by tomos on September 23, 2008, 05:45 AM »
What's the definition of sports? Isn't boules a game and cycling an activity? Phil is  :-\
that's why I was saying "unsporty" for Boules
have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport
Cycling definitely qualifies, me, I was thinking along the lines of competitive, physical & skillful - I guess even Chess qualify there though!

anyways getting a bit off-topic as VideoInPicture says:
... I'm more geared towards hearing about participation in the "pure" sports. ie: things that get your heart rate up for sustained periods of time or spike your heart rate to it's max like in sprints

brief discussion of what type of tea at Re: What's Your Favorite Productivity or Programming Supplement? (poll top of the page as well!)

These days, I seem to usually end up drinking black teas that dont go with milk - a good Earl Grey or Darjeeling, and lately some Russian tea (Nori??) - unfortunately it's finished & the box is thrown out so not sure what it was, but they seem to have similar style teas to english teas/blends in the Russian supermarkets here.

I was in Portugal a couple of years ago and they have really nice black teas there too - mild, no bitterness

In Turkish Doner (Kebab) take-aways here they often have a samover with black tea / hot water
In one place I got a very interesting combination of black tea made with sage leaves as well - I liked it

BTW: Assuming it IS true - how much does a pony sweat anyway?
or
how sick is a dog
how stupid is a donkey
or a camel for that matter :)
etc

I started playing Boules early this summer -
very unsporty maybe but if you love trying to throw things into the bin from a distance you'd love it too :)

It's a nice excuse to be outside for hours at an end too
Played in my first tournament lately & came last but got a very nice consolation prize. So, I mightnt get into it too competitively, but, it is a good feeling if you throw a 700 gram (1&1/2 lb) ball ten yards and hit exactly the ball you wanted to and send it flying ... just need to make that happen more often  ;)

Apart from that I like walking in the woods or wherever, cycling too but neither really as a "sport" - just enjoy them when I do them ...

I'm an avid bicycle racer on the road. What sports are people around here involved in?
When you say a racer - do you mean sprinting / long distance / mountains or a bit of all ?

very informative!

at time's I wondered though ...
Adding milk to the tea is actually an English custom. Nevertheless, it's fine as long as you don't mind sweating like a pony
- as a tea with milk drinker I dont find it any sweatier than without :) followed by
Smokers tend to like it for its detoxicating effect; tea with milk cancels the weariness caused by tobacco.

Things I've discovered relatively recently about tea:
if you brew it for less than 4 minutes - it has a very strong pickup effect
if you brew it for more than 4 minutes - if it's very srtong it'll get your heart going all right but it definitely doesnt have the same get up and go effect

Loved the Troubleshooting Section ;D
