19. Tennessee - wow, I'd be pissed off if I lived there ...

I had the Camel Disc Cataloger also in the new update of the list. I´ll send it this weekend to Tomos. The Crush-Disc Cataloger development V3 has started and so I hope to see more wishes before it´s too hard to implement them. I think about continuing an old development thread or opening a new one for it.-Crush (November 21, 2008, 07:18 AM)
But I thought you could do it with XP's built in burner by using the commands in the left panel for each file in the folder window. They are stored in a temp folder till you are ready to burn them.--cmpm (November 21, 2008, 04:54 AM)
Trying to select images using Explorer and "Add to CD" or whatever it says is actually a scary experience. Plus is that you can add a few, then add a few more but then the tray icon which is the only known link to the future CD disappears regularly. Minus is the difficulty of selecting large number of images - so we gave up that routeAs I say,-tomos (November 17, 2008, 08:16 AM)

Does someone want to volunteer to be the the supervisor of whatever "Getting Organized 2009" entails?-mouser (November 20, 2008, 11:38 AM)

Here's a sample I just made and published with vso to the desktop where it made it's own folder that I titled the album.
Then I put it in My Dropbox and this is the index link Dropbox gave me.

For organizing you could use paint.net.-cmpm (November 20, 2008, 08:59 AM)

. . . and probably too busy to notice someone in a small business that doesn't need 5 licenses using the free version.
I'm all for paying for software but, generally only when means to do so are provided-allen (November 19, 2008, 03:43 PM)

... you're much faster picking up an index card, writing several similar copies of the list on it and using it when you need to.-Paul Keith (November 20, 2008, 04:27 AM)
Another update, I'm using it quite a lot.-justice (November 17, 2008, 04:04 AM)

Sensible pricing scheme. Why don't you forward that to them?-allen (November 19, 2008, 08:03 AM)
Hi Tom,
please excuse my short answer - at the moment there is only the current pricing.
Best Regards,

Tomos, I think what you're asking is inseparable IMO.
As a base model, the latter can satisfy me but of course if there's a program for the former, the better.-Paul Keith (November 19, 2008, 07:38 AM)

Ah, thanks Carol! I assumed that it was no longer possible to get the Home Plus version this way. I'm definitely going to check this out-Darwin (November 18, 2008, 06:58 PM)
The really stupid thing they have done is to release the Home Office version.
According to the website it is functionally equivalent to the Home version but they are charging a minimum of $445 (+ applicable taxes) for 5 licenses (minimum order is 5 licenses).
I cannot understand who would buy the Home Office version when you cann buy the full MailStore Server for $349 including 10 licenses ??????
Very strange pricing structure.-Carol Haynes (November 18, 2008, 06:22 AM)
MailStore Home Office can be obtained for the price of 79 € apiece (plus applicable VAT) with a minimum purchase of fiveI had missed that completely - (if you go directly to the shop page you only get offered the server version)-http://www.mailstore.com/en/mailstore-home-office.aspx
Why not make a MailStore Workstation - an enhanced version of the Home version including scheduling etc. and charge on a simple per workstation price for it. If it was $39.99 or similar loads of people would jump at it (I certainly would). Loads of people will just settle for the free version (even if they use it outside licensing terms for business) if the Office version is highly priced and has no advantages!would be much more attractive for self-employed who might only want one or two copies-Carol Haynes (November 18, 2008, 06:22 AM)
You must also add Camel Disc Catalog to this list. Very few cataloguers can rival with it.-Tobeus (November 16, 2008, 07:08 PM)
FF3 doesnt like it (Camel Case)
Lists it as a "reported attack site" and give these further details:
dont know are you related to the software in some way Tobeus?
looks like some sorting out needs to be done with google at any rate-tomos (November 17, 2008, 07:34 AM)
Idiots can be everywhere on either side ;-)-Merida (November 16, 2008, 09:58 AM)

I contacted them again and they said that was the only number they had
The current version is 2.6 but they have just released MailStore Home Plus with an interesting marketing model.
You can either donate $60 to WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) or promote the product on your website.
It adds quite a few useful features to MailStore Home and can be installed on top of MailStore Home, retaining your settings and database.
I haven't had a chance to play with it yet but one thing that is useful is that you can add 6 import profiles with the Plus version (instead of 3) and it unlocks various other features such as scheduled backups etc. I will fiddle with my website tomorrow and send them an email.
See http://www.mailstore...store-home-plus.aspx for details of the new version.-Carol Haynes (July 16, 2008, 07:08 PM)
