You might want to refer to the previous conversations.  There are some steps you can take there and remember what you are doing can be case-sensitive. ;)

Living Room / Re: poll: how old are you?

For the record, next year I will be a triennial of quindecennials less a triennial.  :)
828
wow you are right - thanks for catching that babis!
i guess now we know why it's still in beta alpha :)

All kidding aside, does anyone know if there is actually a grading system that identifies alpha, beta, etc?  Or is it more like a tradition?
829
May be strange, but sure is convenient.  Take a look at your keyboard starting with the "Z" key.
830
This works better than a lot of "Gold" releases I've seen.  Why are you calling it "Alpha?"  What needs to be in it to make it a "Beta?"

Google has gotten famous for keeping everything they make in Beta stage forever.  So I figure I can become more famous than google if i keep all my programs in Alpha stage forever.

The only problem is that there is nothing before Alpha... or is there..

You could really be unique and use "Omega!"  :P

[Off Topic...sort of...]

Mouser,

This works better than a lot of "Gold" releases I've seen.  Why are you calling it "Alpha?"  What needs to be in it to make it a "Beta?"

No criticism whatsoever, just curious.

Congratulations to Hanan and the other winners!

Thanks Michelle, Mouser and the whole crew that made this possible!

What a blast!  I really enjoyed the opportunity and I really learned something too!  I will definitely use this experience to consider "everyone" when I design in the future.

hehehehe... you can't blame me for building up some suspense can you..  :P
Just another hour or so and result page will go live..

I wonder if real "mousers" get this much fun "playing" with their confined "audience?"  :P

Does anyone get the feeling our beloved benefactor is enjoying himself just a little too much?

Gri, given what has already happened I wish you good luck.

Does it possibly have a setting that will let you define a threshold where the LED blinks red or something?  Probably not, but I thought I'd ask?

I tried it.  The speed is very fast.  I also like that it is not dependent on MFC.
841
Worth looking into and thanks for the regex link.

Hmmmm... it's the 22nd.  Hello, Mouser... are you there?  :P

Well,  it is not the "22nd" everywhere yet. :-\
843
That's only true when you aren't talking about a quiet PC

How quiet a PC is all depends on the fan.  All other decibels are dwarfed by comparison.  Man, some fans sound like they are wind machines!

Maybe it would be better to not try this style out here?  Maybe the best thing would be to learn how things need to be done here (like they have been)?  I'm not that particular myself, but there are many here that really would like to see "outsiders" take their ideas elsewhere.

Do you know if the Proxomitron ingests A,W & K?
847
I tried to just do this locally, but I have a snag due to my lack of experience using regex.

I have been a weather watcher with my Dad since the '70s.  I remember many times he would grab two folding chairs(and me) and we would go sit outside and he would teach me to read the clouds.  Those were fun days!

Anyway, I am always appreciative for all things weather!  Thanks!
849
Maybe you should write one sans the quicksand?  :)

Now that you have explained this it makes more sense.  Thanks.
