I didn't know this was available on PC or PS3! I thought it was Xbox 360 only.

Cool now I can get it!

Yes, it's another Spore topic. This one shows the different iterations for my creature called the Crocidius.

[EDIT]Added thumbnail images which link to the corresponding Sporepedia website. And I've been adding more creations in this same thread.[/EDIT]

Unfortunately it only seems to save my final creature from the Cell stage, so it's missing several generations from the Cell stage.

Without further ado, I present:

It is a little disappointing to find out how short some of these stages are, but I'm not evolving to the next stage the very second I'm able to. I keep exploring and playing around.

Except the tribal stage. Not much to do after you've wiped out all of the other tribes.

But so far, I'm certainly enjoying it.

In the spirit of this thread i'll borrow it due to Steams reginal restrictions. Been wanting to get "Beyond Good and Evil" for a while now and as I really enjoy Steam and use it a lot I would love to get a hold of this game as well.
Can donate the money over PayPal or in the spirit of giving games gift back a game to the person who helps me (a slightly more expensive one that is so the person benefits from the trade).

If Steam has Regional restrictions, how is it possible for someone to gift a game to you that is out of your region? I'm willing to help you if can explain a bit more what I'm supposed to do and how it works. :)

Living Room / Re: Another Kodak Complaint
« Last post by Deozaan on September 07, 2008, 01:30 AM »
Sorry to hear about this terrible experience. :-(

If you paid that money with a credit card you should be able to contact your credit card provider and dispute the charge. You paid for something you didn't receive, so they should clear it up for you. I did that last November with something I ordered online (not related to Kodak) and never received. Customer support wouldn't even answer my e-mails. Be sure to do it quickly as these things usually work better the sooner they're taken care of.

I'd also suggest get back on the phone with Kodak and tell them that they're going to have to make and exception and give you a refund if they don't give you what you paid for. The thing about Indians in phone support is that they're really good at following directions/scripts, so maybe they're required to tell you these things to try to get you to give up on it even though they really can get you a refund. I wouldn't put much past Kodak these days.

Well...LanTan asks for a license, so he could visit the site from the creators, leave money there and in that case he should get a license from them.

So I just clicked the button in Steam to download the Audiosurf demo. Apparently it downloaded and preloaded Audiosurf (Full game) first, then started on downloading the demo... Not cool.

Anyway, I'll give it a try for a while more, though I haven't bought (or played, I guess) a new retail PC game for a couple years because I'd rather spend the money on console games.

Spore will be the first new PC game I've played/purchased since Oblivion, I think.

Another topic here was about Audiosurf, but I didn't download it because it required Steam. Maybe I'll reconsider...

What's up with the backwards release dates? Is Satan taking ice skating lessons? USA almost always gets games long before Europe and Australia. Usually months in advance!

Anyone else have any opinions yet?

I don't like the idea of installing a program that downloads and manages and installs games for me.

Is Steam really all it's cracked up to be? Does it phone home or run when it's not supposed to? Does it hide itself as a service that runs automatically when my PC starts up?

Living Room / Re: Fast Flux Beating Security Industry
« Last post by Deozaan on September 01, 2008, 02:02 AM »
What is a fast flux?

The idea is to move the criminal sites around so fast that it's next to impossible to catch up with them.

In its simplest form, this means that the name server controlling the domain constantly changes its response to attempts to look up the Web page. Before anyone can identify the IP address of an offending site and take it offline, the URL will be pointing to a different IP address.
