I'll take my pandemic advice from qualified Virologists and other scientists, rather than a historian with delusions of grandeur.

Agreed, but that moves this to the basement, so I refrained from commenting.  It might be better to nip this here- or transfer the whole thing to the Basement.

Y'all can move it to Basement if you want....I like to live in my little bubble where I forget that place exists :')

Agreed though, bad move on my part to comment on it

Let's nip it here and carry on with the thread as it was!  :D

Hey,

I'm really sorry but this project was done like 7 years ago on an old computer and I never saved the code so I have absolutely no way to add anything to it.

If you need anything added to it then you will need to post in Coding Snacks or somewhere to ask someone to make you a new bit of software (I haven't coded in about 2 years now except for tiny utilities for myself).

Sorry again,

-Stephen

I assume you mean on mobile?

I just took a screenshot of Netflix (PC) with no problems

(Edit:)

I took the screenshot via the browser version of Netflix, not the app - are you using the apps?

I see in Sumo that someone is running a version 2.55. Am I missing a newer update/download somewhere?
Best,
-J

The latest version of Sumo is 5.11.8.469.

He's talking about the version of CH&S, not Sumo.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I'm not familiar with kcsoftwares.com but I can tell you that the only official way of updating DonationCoder software is by doing so via this website.

We do also have DCUpdater, however, that seems to have been moved to the Obsolete/Unsupported section so I'm not entirely sure if Mouser still uses that to send out update notification for DC Software.  I'll see if I can get hold of him and check what's going on with that.

As for CH&S, I would suggest checking this page periodically to check for any new versions.  You can also join us on Discord where I will be posting notifications for all of Mousers software.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask them!

Thanks,

~Stephen

Hi,

As per the downloads page, the latest version is v2.46.01.

Could you provide more information as to what "Sumo" is in this context?

Thanks,

~Stephen

Hey guys and girls!

This is just a friendly reminder that there are only 8 weeks left until the NANY 2021 deadline!

Remember, if you're not a programmer then you can still join in by submitting requests for those who can code, to make!  There may well be a few coders sitting around with no thoughts on what they can make for this year, and you could be their saviour!

If you are a programmer and you haven't yet submitted anything, why not let us know if you plan to?!  Also, if you're stuck for something to make then you could also put a call out for ideas on the forum or dig into the Coding Snacks section and see if any of the ideas there take your fancy!

I understand that 2020 has been a...weird year (to put it lightly) and that not everybody may have the time or motivation to submit anything, but ANYTHING you submit, be it a tiny app or a huge software release, is absolutely better than nothing!

Let's try to get some cool stuff online this year and make 2021 something to look forward to!

Cheers!

-Stephen

If you don't need audio - convert to GIF

Use these guys for that: https://cloudconvert.com/mp4-to-gif (I use them all the time)

If it has audio then upload it to YouTube then embed that here - you can set the video to unlisted on the upload options then it will only be viewable here and by anybody with a link :)

You can find lots of things at Library Genesis.  http://gen.lib.rus.ec/

Yes, but it is a Russian site. So, be careful.
Are Russian sites dangerous?

Not this one, no. This one is basically Pirate Bay for books and is highly regarded by users.

More problematic are those with pirated games and software.

I've used libgen for years and have always trusted it (after my first few times there, of course).  Used it to get thousands of digitised versions of books (that I own) and some that were simply unavailable anywhere even in print format.  Also used it to get the translated version of some books too.  Very useful.

Get well soon

Thanks, I'll try! XD

Update:

Episode 3 will 100% be delayed.  I've pretty much completely lost my voice now so there's absolutely no hope of getting this up for Sunday as planned.

Stay tuned though and it will be up the second I can talk enough to record!

Sorry again

Episode 3 Info

Episode 3 might be slightly delayed due to me currently battling a rather nasty chest infection.  Currently finding it hard to go more than 30 seconds without coughing half my insides out so trying to record would be an utter nightmare.  If it is delayed it will only be by a few days and it won't be missed completely!

Sorry in advance!

and when you say temp, I assume you mean the ambient temp?  If thats the case, what are your system temps like (Mobo, CPU, etc).  Worth having a look regardless as it could be indicative of a larger issue

I've checked individual component temps and all seem fine - internal temp is via a sensor on my fan controller and I've mainly been basing it off that.

I've tried it on another machine (laptop) but not able to reproduce at all on there.

I'm gonna experiment with a few things once my chest infection clears up and I can concentrate enoug to care about it haha
