General Software Discussion / Re: Quizo QTTabbar
« Last post by PhilB66 on December 21, 2008, 06:10 PM »
Have a look at StExBar.

Nice toolbar, Phil. And it actually will cooperate with Quizo QTTabbar!

However, my first impression is that it is a lot of fuzz to make for so few buttons. "Options, Show System Files, Console, Copy Names, Copy Path, New Folder, Rename, search-box." End of story. The renamer does not rename the marked file(s). I will have to test this toolbar for some more time to understand the good of it. Of course, these features are fine and welcome, I am merely holding back the praise because I already have Quizo's. But it sure is a fine "feature" that you can use both QTTabbar and StExBar at the same time!

"You can add your own commands to the StExBar and define hotkeys for them." (Click on "Options" and then on the "Add" button.)

See this page for examples (scroll down the page).

JCST was mentioned by Martin of gHacks.

Are they related to Technology Blog:-\

or Telephone Issues?

Did a quick WHOIS search and AFAICT they are not related. Looks like these two sites are ripping content off of gHacks.

Hi Phil, Thanks.
Your last link doesn't work here.

Link removed. There are a few discussions about project management software here on DC but I could not find the one I was linking to.

Dissecting how Madoff made off with everyone's cash will be the subject of many documentaries. And yet the SEC was told on several occassions that Madoff's numbers were obviously fixed (he was reporting more profit from trades on any given day than the entire volume in the market for that same day!).

Greed was the motivation behind peoples decision to invest with Mad(e)off. Warning signs were plenty for those willing to look.

@justice

This is shaping up as a very useful little utility. Thanks.

A few more suggestions...

- An option to set the "JustCloseSomeTasks" GUI "Always on Top"
- Add an option to maximize minimized tasks
- I would change "Exit" to "Close/Terminate" (on the right click menu)
- Would it be possible to add a history list of closed tasks from which one can restore a closed window/task?

Also, have you considered a "move to next monitor" option?

Cheers.

Remember what the Iraqis did after toppling Saddam's statue? Shoeing is considered the ultimate insult in Arab culture, a sign of contempt.
