Well you cannot expect your company clients to use unofficial unsecure practices. Also they might have very sctrict rules regarding what ports and apps can be open on their networks. Vpns are mainly used by companies.

Yeah even command line does nto work for me. I have never had issues with any pythong program except this one that claims to be a python editor.

Ohh another one that has issues is active state komodo edit. It cannot find it is own template files for some reason and fails to open a new document.

I am under 64bit xp and using 64bit version of python

@kartal
You get a popup with an error about a dll?
I do now too. (mine is about python25, you may have an older version)
I think it could be related to an incompatibility with tortoise. I reinstalled tortoise HG and started getting this error too.

I found the solution here:
http://code.google.c...issues/detail?id=189

For "all user" installations, PyScripter just tries to load the Pythonxx.dll from the
python path. Mercurail contains a python dll and is on the path. So I can see three
solutions.

a)  Make sure that %windows%\system32 is higher int the path than TortoiseHg(Mercurial)
b)  Install Python25 as a single user installation.  In that case PyScripter will
pick the python25.dll from the installation path.
c) Use the PYTHONDLLPATH flag as you did

Still, I'm going to test netbeans now because I love it.
by the way pyscripter is great to explore someone else's code thanks to the variable description popups!

This is good software. I just successfully converted 15000 emails from Thunderbird to outlook express.

it is asking for python 2.3 dll? whatt?

Before anyone beats me to it: if you are on windows try pyScripter:
http://pyscripter.googlepages.com/

By far the best I have tried:
  •       free
  •       Portable
  •       Ctrl+scroll moves fast around code!
  •       Has execute selection
  •       Tells you the variable type with a pop up, where is defined, whether it's global, etc!
  •       Fast (not interpreted, delphi)
  •       Find function, find definition  works
  •       Has unitTest integration

Give Don some credit please. He is releasing a patch every couple days. That is so rare in this business. Software development is hard, bitching is easy. I personally think that the bitching should be directed to the developer and should be done in private unless the developer chooses not to respond to the user questions and features. In this case, I thought that Don has been very very responsive and responsible at least under Xyplorer forums.

Xyplorer is a nice piece of software. It is true that it is not a software for casual using. You just need to get into it and start modifying, collecting scripts etc.

I can actually run Xyplorer within any other application, I also can enable Xyplorer in "run" mode in which it comes with the adress bar in the middle of the screen. But I use ahk global keys for these. So it is possible.

Josh, my system got scrambled due to the fact that I forgot to disable auto updates. On the contrary Microsoft pushes users to turn the auto update on, and it is a default behaviour during os installation as well. So please do not pretend that i updated wioth some beta drivers or unknown drivers. the funny thing is that I had the laptop on all night, and when I got up the d..n thing was not working in the morning. Because it updated itself. What is my fault in this whole thing?

I myself never auto update, I generally wait service packs for my work computers.

Anyways I think that Vista suck to death after having it on my laptop over a year. It was slow, headaches, randomly disabling features, uneven network performance, network problems etc. Now with Xp , my laptop is like twice as fast.

690
Recently Vista update disabled one my of my laptops`s wireless and all the usb ports, which i could not get them back.  I tried updates, reverts, system restore etc. I just installed XP and everything  started working like charm. I was nearly going to send my laptop to Toshiba and later I figured out that it was not the laptop itselfs. I do not know why people think that Vista is a great Os. I even had alot of networking problems with my other non vista machines, while xp machines were way easy to setup.

Hi

Is there any plan for Ptyhon? I cannot add python as compiler. I know python is not a compiler but I would like to use SKyide for my little python works if it is possible.

I love FH. It is a good application.

it looks like it has not been updated since 2006?

I'm quite happy with PyScripter.  It has most of the features you want (no code folding yet) and it is pretty small, 8MB.

I use process lasso pro version, I think it is a nice app.   Process Tamer was nice as well but I just needed more in depth features.

I was not doing anything special. I tried the trial version. And I found that changing from one page to another or workspace to another was slow and interface refreshes were clearly visible. I just have a thing about interface refreshes , very distracting

Is not OneNote slow? I tried one time the pages felt very sluggish to me, it did nto feel like fun to deal with changing workspace or pages.
