I had to turn this off half way through because I started to feel nervous and queasy.

lol
I wasnt quite so bad, but it did get the adrenalin going...
If I was doing that I sure would be hooked on to that safety wire - no, being realistic, I dont think I could manage it IRL
6478
FWIW, I'm pretty sure I used the "Add a new printer" method for this (I was unable to make a copy of the printer). It showed same as your's above - in sub-menu under printers, but as seperate printer in print dialogue. But it *does* work here.
Again FWIW also with a Canon printer - connected per usb cable.

General Software Discussion / Re: The confusion about the term "lifetime license"
« Last post by tomos on October 07, 2011, 05:42 PM »

wasnt the confusion really started by "subscription" licenses where (I dunno here - I dont have any like that) the software would no longer work after subscription period had ended?

I wish the guy luck (whatever is going on for him now, I dont think Apple/etc is important any more anyways...)

a few other comments/thoughts -
  • a person and what they do are different things (and no, I'm not making excuses for anything there)
  • why wouldnt he be afraid of dying?? (related to Superboyacs quote above)
  • I think to be a successful CEO or top-manager [of a corporation at any rate] you need to be driven, obsessive, workaholic. Why should Jobs be any different - well, I know, there's loads of possible reasons why he could have been different, but he wasnt...
  • I think he was a great innovater-inventor - most inventors are just working on what has been done before anyways
  • His great "strengths" were also probably his greatest weaknesses (e.g. think control-freak)
  • Giving is often over-rated. I mean it's often done by people who have already screwed the world - and really, if they want to give, they could start by trying to introduce fair work standards/wages etc as discussed elsewhere here on dc

well then - I'm a great beta tester - if it can be done wrong, I'll do it wrong ;-)

here's the notepad test with a custom aero glass theme - looks good

Screenshot - 2011-10-06 , 14_07_21.png

Here's how it looked in Notepad2

Screenshot - 2011-10-06 , 14_16_28.png

and scrolling capture:

Screenshot - 2011-10-06 , 14_15_59.png

the numbers are perfect at least  (not sure why it got doubled up)

(it's just a new exe, not a full setup).

so, should we simply replace the exe in a current install?
Or does this work on it's own? OK it works on it's own I think:

I tried to follow instructions on previous page
https://www.donation....msg260751#msg260751

With an Aero glass theme (win7 x64):
  • When I Ctrl+Shit+Click within the notepad window, I get no reaction from SC - depending on where I click, some of the text gets selected.
  • I also now cant get rid of the red-boxes. Escape doesnt seem to work - I even successfully did a regular screenshot (Ctrl+PrtScr) and they still showing.
  • None of the other shortcuts displayed in the red-box frame work either - in Notepad, FF, or Dopus.

Restart SC.
Classic theme:
exactly same results

Just finished War Is a Lie by David Swanson, amazing book. Even if you already know much of the facts, seeing them all compiled into a cogent narrative is a big red pill everyone should swallow once.

Now reading Unequal Protection by Thom Hartmann
Kindle editions all, since I have no more space on my shelves.

both sound very interesting, especially the corporation one.

good luck with the translation!

You are right: it is only happening on Mozilla Firefox.

there is an add-on that does that, I cant remember the name - or maybe it's in FF itself, dont think so though...
6493
@mouser: It looks as though one of the CHS settings is still not "sticking":
Move from Clipboard New to Old group after every X number of HOURS: (does not seem to obey the rule set by the user)

just noticed that had changed here, since the last update at any rate. (That was a problem before - I think)

It doesnt happen here & I dont see any option for it (but may have missed it).
Does it happen in all apps?

[MinorImprovement]  You can now press spacebar and let go of left mouse during region grab to free the cursor to change grab start location.
hey, :)
that's really nice

Scrolling capture in FF7 creates a series of 'cuts to black' and results in a single image; it does nothing that I can see in IE7. I say this in the full expectation that I'm missing something, I'll have to go back and look at the videos, but in case it's happening to anyone else.

have you seen Scrolling capture is not working

There wouldn't have been a problem if the rlease had been labelled 6.0.3 instead of 7 (which is what it should have been)
