IndieVolume seems to do this

Reread OP. I put the important stuff in bold for easy comprehension.

There is a thing called indievolume, but 1. the layout sucks and 2. its not freeware. Im not paying for changing the volume, eh?

Nice first post mattski  :Thmbsup:. and welcome to DC :D

It's an autohotkey script. Just ask in that thread for someone to compile it for you.

Also, see systray keyboard lights and caps\num lock indicator threads for alternatives.

 ;D ... No worries, jgpaiva must be content with you having linked GridMove to skrommel.

@mahesh2k

@ Karol Jan Kaminski (aka fenixproductions)

Q. Which is DC’s Killer application? Why?

Karol:   Currently I am not using DC’s apps because of my bad habits but I’ve used few of them a lot so my vote will go to:

- FARR,
- skrommel’s 1h software - (GridMove mostly).

GridMove is by  jgpaiva.

Here's a tiny, portable alternative... Screen-Based Reading PlaceHolder. Works great with WheelHere (text scroller).
