Turning it around makes it a little easier:

I’d encourage everybody who has a new UEFI secure boot platform to take ownership of it, even if you only ever plan to run Windows, or stock distributions of Linux (that already have secure boot support).

but it doesnt win any prizes for accessibility :)

Problem is that when I try see it, the colours he used to highlight different classes are not the same as he used on the original calendar.

Would that not simply be to do with different monitors (showing colour variations) ?
Or is it like red instead of green :tellme: :)

About the only useful thing I can think of is subverting sites that try to geo-restrict you based on IP.

I've no idea about this stuff but I just read this the other day (was looking for a solution to the 'geo-restriction')

Living Room / Re: What are your favorite movies?
« Last post by tomos on February 15, 2013, 04:14 AM »
A film really doesn't have to be "great", (as proven by some of your lists!), it is more important if it appeals to something in you, I think.

good point Curt - in the last years I have thoroughly enjoyed some films that are really not so great. I mean the story or acting or something resonates with whatever is going on with me at that particular moment. OTOH a film can be super made or maybe technically brilliant, but not connect with the viewer - or simply not have much of a heart (last Almodovar film comes to mind - but maybe it 'connects' with someone else...)

Also disable Javascript in the Adobe reader preferences, but keep in mind that for me it seemed to periodically turn back on (I'm guessing that some updates did this).

I've noticed, in the past, that settings change after updates (and they always put a new shortcut on the desktop...)

~~~~~~~
I've disabled plugins a while back but would miss the reader itself - for small documents it's perfectly fast, displays images, graphics and text very well and has a usable interface (with shortcuts etc) - will have to look at some of the other options :-\
[Dead and Alive]
It's a romantic horromedy (horror comedy). It mashes up a love story inside of a zombie apocalypse, but keeps things in perspective and makes fun of everything!
sounds good :D
Have you seen Shaun of the Dead
(sounds like all of the above mixed with *real* life - brilliant)
This is one that used be a favourite of mine years ago, but would nearly have to look at it again to see if it's still up there.
It was Peter Seller's last film, very different from his other films, quite slow moving but with some absolutely classic scenes.
and as you say in the title, only one install allowed (formerly 2 allowed)
There’s no doubt that retail purchases of Office 2013 are for a SINGLE PC and NOT transferable from that computer after installation. Unlike retail versions of past Microsoft Office which allowed two installations that could be transferred to another computer.
good for the competition I hope:
the competition have some ideas :) (this mainly about price and number of licenses):
http://softmaker.com/english/blog/?p=435
The single machine license Office 2013 is another desperate attempt on MS's part to squeeze its lemon cash cow (sorry for mixed metaphors) and push people towards its subscription-based cloud model. I can't see how it can possibly be a good thing for them to do. Office apps are already becoming less relevant, competition such as the FREE LibreOffice is getting better all the time, and why would you want to upgrade if you already have Office 2010? To give students a single machine license will just push students (the future generation of office workers!) not to bother with MS Office at all. There are increasingly fewer reasons why they should need MS Office anyway.
I'm curious how you knew what to delete (I do use Process Explorer but I'm not familiar with Process Monitor).
Also thinking *if* you dont know which process it was that stole the hotkey - surely it will simply start again next time you reboot?
the intro is a bit staccato/arty for my taste but it does get going
Okay, it's working now:
as said in previous post - the drawing showed in thumbnails after restarting.
I then used the eraser and the thumbnail updated as expected.
I then worked on another screenshot and thumbnail showed correctly when saved.
I'm not sure if that's simply from the restart or from the editing (prob the restart but what would I know).
I had made a new portable install for this testing.
I restarted it and it saves the drawing every time now :up:
- but I cant get it to show in thumbnail at all - well I just tried restarting it again and that worked.
FWIW win7 64bit
ahh, that was obvious for me :) - I was trying with the object remove
New alpha version up (same url), with better undo support, not just for freehand painting but for all object editing.
first go here:
works very well :up:
couple minor things:
if I go to another image, the drawing work is not saved (I have that setting activated where it saves automatically when you click on another shot).
-
Hmmm after messing around and at least 8 trys it now saved when I clicked other file. It doesnt show changes on the thumbnail though [edit] does now after a bit more clicking over and back [/edit]. Also, I am unable to remove the writing. You say "you can save and come back to a file and clear or erase any freehand painting" - I dont see how (?)
not sure how many undo's it has - looks like 10.
If press Ctrl+Z more than 10 times, each extra click reduces the number of redos (even though the extra Ctrl+Z's are having no effect).
Example:
I make 20 marks
I press Ctrl+Z 15 times - 10 marks are removed
I press Ctrl+Y 15 times - only 5 marks are shown again - the first 5 press seem to get swallowed by the superfluous Ctrl+Z presses
(hope that makes sense)
@y2kusuma : I have temporarily turned off the plugin "Spam Free WordPress". Can you please try now?
I thought Flash always tried to install an update checker that started with Windows?  I block it on my system - have enough things starting at once already...
yeah, I used get that
You can change the settings via control panel - choice is:
  • automatic
  • notify [on startup]
  • never
as said I'm using the automatic but cant really comment about it yet (I *think* I only changed it lately :-\ - been working on too many machines lately...)
-Montgomery_Minds (February 11, 2013, 11:13 AM)
sorry -  I see now I phrased that a bit ambiguously (I meant start using it again :-[)
I can just about change a hotkey in AHK - and that's it...
So I'll repost your requests, in the hopes that someone might take a look at it:
If you get motivated, the next feature that i would need is the tagging that people have discussed.  the idea of being able to designate a span of time, with many programs used during that span, as a certain time allocation.  Your suggestion of naming the files to contain a keyword, and then searching for the keyword would work, at least in some cases.  But i think adding a new feature to the program to know about a tag directly would really help me.  I'm guessing the tag would start out uninitialized, and perhaps stay that way forever, meaning, it's optional for those that dont need it.  From my understanding of how the program works, it would mean something like re-writing the .csv file, cuz tags are provided by the user for time already passed.  Perhaps even at the end of the day.  Or some other way to store tags, but then the detailed view needs to read 2 files.  Or something.
thing is, i really LIKE that the program today only appends to the .csv file, and doesnt lock it.  cuz then i can edit the .csv file myself, and TitleLog keeps on working happily.  But perhaps TitleLog adding a tag in the past would be ok, if it keeps re-opening then closing the file for each edit.  But then you're re-writing the whole file each time there's a tag entry from the user.  Dunno.  I can see why that doesnt fit with the current program paradigm.  And as i said, i like that paradigm.
