General Software Discussion / Re: Suggest an Icon Editor
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 16, 2006, 11:02 AM »
I never do many icon projects, but i've tried using The Gimp, and it handles icon creation quite well.
I'm not sure how well it can be integrated in that list.

General Software Discussion / Re: keyboard shortcuts
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 16, 2006, 10:42 AM »
At the bottom of this page, there is an explanation on how to find the virtual key code you're looking for.
Then, make an hotkey with it, and give it the command soundset.
Hope this helps! :D

map it to the volume control keys on my laptop keyboard - could I do this with AHK?
I myself have a laptop, and i used to use ahk for that (when i had an alternative shell that didn't do it), so, i guess it can be done.

www.autohotkey.com ;)
It can map any virtual key, so, that shouldn't be a big problem.

EhEh TW..
You hade some work adapting the script.
There are a few "return"s missing, though.
I didn't get what you meant, you mean the problem was onkly in the messagebox?
You only wanted the msgbox fixed, but still having the blank lines in the file?

Official Announcements / Re: Contest - Make a new Banner for Website
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 15, 2006, 01:44 PM »
The problem here, is the usual problem i have when someone asks me "what is donationcoder.com?".
I never know what to say, I answer "well... it's the best website i know!" ;)
I sense finding an apropriate slogan will be a hard task..

Whoa.. First forum redesign, now banners changin, things really are evolving here!
I support this idea, only wish i knew how to do these kind of things. But I'm sure someone will come up with some great banner for we all to admire! :D

Actually i was thinking of a new slogan for the site: "A Place for Lovers of Software" or something like that.
I also think that slogan could be changed, maybe a new thread could be opened for that?

General Software Discussion / Re: Must-have apps in the System tray?
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 15, 2006, 12:58 PM »
PS Tray Factory does a nice job of displaying only those systray icons you really need to see.
Yep, there is some discussion about tray managing utilities in the forum, AndyM, check these pointers: https://www.donation...dex.php?topic=2507.0
But still, i prefer my cluttered tray to having yet another app running ;)

This basically means that all apps but the default windows ones and all snap running in the tray were found at or by donationcoder.com :D

hey, how'd you do that spoiler thingy...?
It's everywhere, it's a new feature in the forum. Check the following thread: https://www.donation...index.php?topic=2784

Here is a new version, that checks for blank lines.
Note: a line that only has SPACEs or TABS, is considered a blank line. I hope this was what you were asking for.

.exe version
.ahk version

EhEh.. As always, here's skrommel working like 3 at the same time! ;)

Thanks! It doesn't even activate the other window.. Good thinking.
Guess that solves the problem, right AndyM? ;)

I already searched a bit for something similar to that, but couldn't find it :(
But imagine this:
You'd press alt+drag to move the other window, and when you released alt or mouser button, the focus would be returned to the last window active.
Do you think this'd do?

Living Room / Re: 10 coolest alarm clocks
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 13, 2006, 01:43 PM »
Alarm clocks should have:
--digital tuner
--digital display
--presets
--at least 2 alarms
--good battery backup (lasts more than 5 minutes, good luck finding this one)
That looks like a description of my sony dream machine. ;)
As for the backup battery, i think it lasts for 30 minutes, if i recall correctlly.

Find And Run Robot / Re: Open path expression + slight typo?
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 13, 2006, 07:01 AM »
This is a high quality alias, definatelly should be featured in the default section!
Thanks tonyp!
Another good thing about it is that if you have the icons of the folders personalized, when you get the folder's name right, the icon switches to the icon of the folder!

Did anyone find the end of the game?
I went to the bottom, and ate everything i could find, but then, nothing appeared.
I could only find the "go up" and "go down" thinguies in each level..
