It's still happening. My daughter…-wraith808 (January 06, 2021, 04:01 PM)

Stopped being shipped? What is that a reference to?-wraith808 (January 04, 2021, 10:12 AM)
The vendor increasingly failed to ship the mugs to me (must be a problem with Germany) every year until NANY 2020 when I did not receive any shipment at all.
So, well, as I said: I don’t do it for the mugs. I won’t get any anyway.

Haha, as if the mugs would actually exist... they stopped being shipped last year!
Thank you for another round of NANY, everyone!-Tuxman (January 03, 2021, 11:11 PM)
I ordered the capture card and the converter cable, and they should be here on Sunday. I'll try it and see how that goes before looking into any other options.Keen to hear how well it works. Including which Android app to use - there are a few in the in Google Play and some appear to show ads.-wraith808 (December 31, 2020, 10:23 PM)-Nod5 (January 02, 2021, 02:52 PM)
This looks like the same one - https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08CXMLZCY/. It's about $5USD more than I paid though.Necro-thread arise! Again!
I just remembered the Elio again. Checking out their website, it looks like the last update was just over a year ago, in December 2019.
After the past several years of "it will be released next year" it seems pretty likely that they'll never be more than vaporware.
It's a shame because I really liked the concept and wanted to get one. I hope people who prepaid are being compensated or reimbursed somehow.-Deozaan (January 01, 2021, 02:35 AM)

I'm officially confused. The original video was about setting up a display that's not a display for the raspberry pi, which was really interested in, and thanks for the video. The other things were a tangent I guess? I think? Maybe? I dunno.-wraith808 (December 31, 2020, 08:22 AM)
- A tablet is not a display for the Raspberry Pi.
- If you use an HDMI -> USB -> USB OTG converter, and your tablet supports USB webcams, you can wire up the tablet to be a display for the Raspberry Pi.
- Or if you use remote desktop software like AnyDesk, you can accomplish the same thing wirelessly.

So the equivalent of casting the display from the Pi-4wd (December 30, 2020, 03:53 PM)
So forgive me for this in advance... the original post was talking about using an old laptop or tablet as a monitor for the RaspPi. How does using nomachine help with that?-wraith808 (December 30, 2020, 10:37 AM)
I believe the idea is that it helps in accomplishing the same thing, but without having to connect wires (and accompanying adaptors) from the RPi to the laptop or tablet.-Deozaan (December 30, 2020, 11:06 AM)
