Hopefully kaspersky will fix the false positive in the next day or two before others get scared.

Thanks for reporting it.

How weird..  It's definitely a false positive.

Always pays to be paranoid though.

I uploaded the exe (as anyone should if you ever get a virus report), to virustotal, to run antivirus using tons of engines, and here are the results:

So 1/61 meaning that one crazy antivirus is malfunctioning and complaining about something it is imagining that is not real.

(admittedly using the same FARR settings synced via dropbox)
I wonder if that could have something to do with it..

This version should work identically for 32bit processes.
It sounds like they are not taking up as much of your cpu on the new machine  -- so there's nothing really for Process Tamer to do.. Which is a good thing :)
If there are OTHER processes on the pc that are using up lots of cpu, it's THOSE processes that you might want to lower the priority for.

You could also try enabling the function "Boost Foreground Process to High Priority" to boost the speed of any game that you are playing.. Though that's a bit of an extreme action to take.

New x64 build with additional support for high-dpi displays:

Let me know how it works for you.
3832
Give me a day to upload a new version.

And are you saying the behavior is predictable and repeatable? Or it just happens on rare random occasions?

And you've checked the "Keyboard Interface" tab to make sure you aren't launching using a method that says to keep the window open?

Have you upgraded to the latest version? Can you try that out?

I'm happy to use something else.. Do you have a recommendation for a color picker that wouldn't mind being distributed with SC?

I see ColorCop v5.3 is on that list, I could revert to that version.
3837
Will do.  I think much of it will be specific to C++ Builder (or Delphi), since that's what those apps are made in and it has some specific facilities for handling high-DPI GUI scaling, with some specific required workarounds to get everything working well.
3838
There is no way to do that currently, and it would be difficult because it has become increasingly difficult (for security reasons presumably) for 3rd party apps to peek at the current address in the browser.

There are 2 possible workarounds:
1. Use a different browser when surfing to such sites, and mark that browser exe to exclude from CHS monitoring.
2. See if anyone has written a browser plugin that will mark Ctrl+C copied text from certain addresses as being tagged as IGNORE SECURE, which CHS supports as an indicator that it should not copy such text.  I doubt this exists but it would be a nice addon.

Mar 24, 2017:

I've uploaded long-overdue updates to some of my more popular apps.

The most significant improvement is that these apps should now look much better on high-DPI screens -- 4k displays and displays where the text size is set to something larger than 100%.

More updates will be coming soon..

That's a really nice idea -- let us know what you find.

Perhaps if you can't find something that can do exactly what you want, an interesting alternative would be a utility that could BATCH CREATE an image file for each video file, which was an image that showed a grid of images from various times in each video.  Such a program probably exists, though it wouldn't be too hard to make a new one..  Too bad NANY 2018 is so far away :)

Neat.

I don't believe I have changed button names in recent versions.

If you want to drive SC with external code you might check out MiniCap, my screenshot utility designed for such things: https://www.donation...tware/Mouser/MiniCap

Or you could request that I add some commandline options to SC to do the kinds of things you find yourself wanting to do -- which is usually pretty easy for me to do.

F0dder -- thank you for your wisdom -- very helpful.

PS: while you're not super likely to find VM-escape in the wild, it's a lot more common for malware to have VM detection - meaning it won't activate when running in a VM, so it lulls you into a false feeling of safety.

Excellent point I hadn't even considered.

Can you grab the latest version (actually even better would be the latest beta) and tell me if the bug remains?
Beta download link is near the top of this post: https://www.donation...dex.php?topic=3474.0
