See what happens?...
 (see attachment in previous post)

Another clumsy vadelect? No wonder he's on the dark side!
Fluorescent fixtures can be serviced quite simply by the replacement method. If you suspect that a part may be defective, replace the part with a new one. Start with the fluorescent tube or bulb. You can either install a new one or, if you're not sure the tube is burned out, test the old tube in another fluorescent fixture. Remove the old tube by twisting it out of its sockets in the fixture. Install the new tube the same way -- insert the tube's prongs into the socket and twist the tube to lock it into place.

The correct response was "If you call me in the morning I'll tell you what to do;D

The correct response?

Who on earth would want something so prosaic?

And, next time, please think more carefully before opening the tap to such a stream of drivel!  ;)

Now... back to the light sabres with you, daylight sabring time is almost upon us!

3353
uh oh, target is making a run at taking Chris's pun medal.

It's easy to take from me, I'm merely a husk of my former self.
3354
and new word for me
That's  a ropy thing to say!

3355
No need to explain, that'd be preaching to the coir.

despite the pic, it's really an arm rest
A whole new twist on arm-restling!

I do get your concern though but I believe that part of why the market works is because they are free to address their concerns without guilt if the offer does not satisfy them.
Sure, but here's a thread  about 50% off and there are still complaints.
Look at the second line of the first post!

what happens in 18 months time when version 4 is released and only people who bought after the discount get the upgrade price?
-Carol
Well, it'll be good to see what tomos discovers.
But... I'd guess your scenario would result in one of two things.  Either that people who want it would pay for it or there would be a decline in future revenue.
3360
One speaks as one finds.

I like Surfulater and I've found Neville to be very helpful,
plus he gave DonationCoder a discount.

I feel a bit uncomfortable at the 'bad press' that's being created here.
There may be feelings of outrage at price increases, but it's up to each one of us to decide what a product is worth, and I don't really understand the strength of ill feeling. Let the market do its job and assess the price/value ratio.

My own view is that it would be a pity if readers were dissuaded from trying Surfulater by comments in this thread.
Remarks about price really have no bearing on the performance of Surfulater, which I feel is very good.

No offence intended to anyone.

+1 for this idea.

The other clip tool that I use can be hot-switched in and out of 'multi'  mode.
I seldom use that but when I do it's very, very useful indeed.

-cranioscopical (March 03, 2009, 04:25 PM)
Out of interest, which clip-tool is that? It sounds like that's what jupstejuho is looking for.
-SleepingWolf (March 04, 2009, 04:21 AM)

It was SmartBoard (not free, though).

So...am I correct in assuming then that no one here with any coding skills has ever created, or even heard of, anything like what I'm describing?
Well I can't help you.
I come from a time when the poison pen letter was state of the art.  :o

Well said!

Can't have a good site without decent members, and how nice to have those with kind words to express.

i just right clicked on display properties today and bang...
So now you know what happened to your other card.
You're going to have to be more careful!                        ;)

We have reached the 2 bar level!

So this banana walks into a bar...

Times are tough. Extra N's are expensive.

In hard times, then, do you propose that N'y thing goes?

3368
for those who are dim like me -- the prostrate is something you do not want to enlarge!

Kindly prostate yourself to make amends for bad spelling!
3369
Something to think about.
How would any of us feel if DonationCoder 404'd because mouser had decided enough was enough.
Suppose he and the unsung heroes who keep things on track just decamped?

Wouldn't like that at all?

If that is so, then drop whatever you can spare into the donation kitty... do it now!

It was just an idea :-[

czb, I think it's a great idea... for a lot of places but it rather fights with the DoCo philosophy.
My suspicion is that if DonationCoder turned into some sort of money spinner that would erode the community spirit.

Aniversary
Good luck, and maybe you'll need it...:

mouser's probably hoping you'll contribute once per anum.

Tiny firewall became Kerio Personal Firewall which in turn became Sunbelt Personal Firewall.

FWIW, I use this on my wife's machine.
It's enough to drive one demented at the outset but it, together with 'Drop My Rights, and 'NoScript', had the desired effect of saving me hours a week of trouble-shooting her machine.

for me between 11-12 and after 3pm are good times for meetings

Is it possible to send a reply so confusing to the program that it actually freezes up

There's certainly a precedent for this.
Just about any reply sent to me triggers symptoms that are similar to those you desire to create.
3375
Like so many others, I'm very impressed by Circle Dock.
I think it's very nice that you're helping out with user queries.

My best wishes to Eric, and I hope that we hear from him again when he is able to respond.
