failing that, ask your users to opt IN (NOT opt out) of an anaonymas data collection , collecting ONLY the data which shows how many times a user opens said software(s) - and NOTHING else.  Most people wont mind clicking yes to this if asked, but will bitch and moan if they are tricked into doing it.

Nope, just an annoying 5month old bull mastiff X rottweiler being a little sod as per usual  >:(

The server would be located at Peer 1 Data Center in California

Our network architecture utilizes the Enterprise routing and switching engines from Juniper and Cisco. We utilize Juniper M20 routers as border routers, Cisco 6500 series switches in our distribution layer and Cisco 6500 switches in our aggregation layers, and Cisco 3500 and 2900 series switches at the customer layer. Our network is fully meshed and redundant with 9 backbone providers.

prstorm is a black hat spammer's tool used to spam the referrer logs of websites in an effort to somehow create backlinks to their own sites for SEO purposes, if a host publishes the referrer logs (I don't know many that do). It hammers servers sometimes 50 times a minute.

Now I don't know what you need to clean from your urls, but I am not likely to help you if you plan on using prstorm, and I am not sure anyone else on this forum would either.

 >:(

Agreed.  I thought you might just want some nice privacy tools for yourself, not to spam links.

There is a way to feel safe when you are visiting websites, reading articles or making use of important data. With Advanced
Privacy Cleaner you will be able erase your
tracks so that no one can view the websites you visited, the articles you read or the
information you wanted to maintain private. There are a lot of users that have to share their computer with family or people at their jobs. Sometimes you just don't visit a website because you're afraid someone could see it. Maybe you're at your job and you don't want your boss to figure out that you were navigating the sites you shouldn't be navigating or you just want to keep it for yourself. With this program, you will no longer have to worry about anything. Advanced Privacy Cleaner will enable you to erase Internet history, Internet
cookies, auto-complete data, auto-complete passwords and more. But that is not all this
program allows you to do. The program takes care about your files too. You will be able to delete Microsoft Word recent files
list, images viewed by you, Windows Media Player recent files list, WinZIP recent files list and so on.

The program has got an intuitive graphical interface that will make things easy for you. With this program, you will feel safe to navigate or use your computer the way you want. There are plenty of programs like this one, but this one is absolutely free and
it's better than many others.

It comes with a lot of advanced options for programs, files and Internet
history.
It's free.

If thats not what you mean, please let me know.

Might be an idea to place a small banner about this on the main homepage (not forum home, the sites homepage) so users who try to register can see it without having to hunt through forum categories.

Something small perhaps (Like an image containing the text "Registration Problems? - Click Here") with a link to this might be ideal?

I just bought my wife a Garmin nüvi 1450T for her birthday and she loves it.
I'm debating between the 3790 model and the 1490 model right now.  The 2790 sounds good, but I HATE the fact that there are ads on it.  I'm actually shocked to hear that.

There are ads on it?  How so? ... Like, if you drive by McDonalds it whistles the theme tune at you?

Hey, sorry for my delayed responce SKA.

Stephen

>Unlike theirs, our hosting software was created, developed and designed in-house by us<

What software(s) does this cover ? Its developed to run on Debian Linux ?
Reason I ask is I am concerned over security of hosting under Linux.

SKA

Most companies use cPanel, DirectAdmin, etc for control panel, and billing systems like WHMCS, AWBS and so on. We have developed our hosting platform, control panel and billing software ourselves. We do not use any software from another company, these have been designed to run on Debian Linux.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to post them here or send me a private message, to which I will be happy to provide you (where possible) with an answer  :)

Living Room / Re: VectorMagic: Convert Bitmaps into Vector Art (Free)
« Last post by KynloStephen66515 on November 17, 2010, 05:12 PM »
Previously you had to download and install some pretty complicated software to accomplish this, but with YoHDR you can now do this easily online - just upload your photos and get your result right away.

I guess i've become one of those grumpy old people who hears BS like this and translates it to:

"In the past you used to be able to install a powerful, fast desktop application full of cool options -- now you can look forward to a world where every application is online, dumbed-down, slow, completely out of your control, and requires you to upload your files over the internet before you can work on them."

No thanks, i'll take the desktop application.

I still prefer installing things do do any conversions I need as I am not fully trusting of how secure these sites are...like if i have a design i want to vector, and that design is a logo im doing for the tattoo studio, or an actual tattoo design that somebody wants as a desktop background as well as inked on them, id like to be sure this isnt going to be intercepted and distributed.

Old School ways work just fine for me :)

*Spits on dreamweaver and opens notepad*

**edit**

wtf? InkScape does conversions of BMP...HOW did I not know this?!?!  >:( Ive spent countless hours drawing over bmp files on InkScape...this could have been saved...NOT happy

Actually in Europe, where Nokia are based of course, cellphones aren't tied to network. Though it usually cost more because no one is subsiding the cost of the phone. Also most networks carry all the popular phones so you have choice when looking for a subsidized one too.
This is what I always hear about as the "unlocked" phones, right?  i wonder why they are more flexible about it in Europe?  Also, the listed price of unlocked phones are ridiculous.  That's also a gimmick.  They make that price artificially so high just to force you to buy it through your carrier.  None of these phones are worth more than $200-300.  No more than the price of a netbook.

Generally, even if you buy a contract, the phones are open to any network (Generally excluding, but not always, the "Network 3" as they really don't care if you use that phone they gave you, or you sold it.

If you do happen to find a phone locked onto a network, its generally for a reason (iPhones are o2 only) so if you unlock them, other carriers wont be able to offer you the services available on the phones software.

Other than that, 99% of phones are unlocked to the major networks, and ones that have been locked, and sold to a pre-owned phone shop, will be unlocked by the store staff and sold as "unlocked".

This is possibly because of how many times users change networks to get a better deal, or because thier friends are on another network and its cheaper to change and call them from the same one.

Intro:

TomatoCart is a great alternative to the likes of ZenCart, and osCommerce for anybody looking for a totally free, open source, and highly powerfull E-Commerce tool.

With a feature filled, AJAX driven Admin Suite, which works as a virtual desktop (See Admin Panel Screenshot Below), you will never need to hunt for an option again.

Unlike other scripts, this websites works directly 'out-of-the-box' and looks marvelous even on its default theme. (Change a few images, add your products and payment info, and your good to go).

Who is this script designed for:

Anybody who is looking for an amazing script to run thier online store.

The Good

Beautiful Default Theme
Hugely Powerful AJAX Driven Admin Virtual Desktop
Reviews and Ratings Feature
User Wish List Feature
User "Never Expires" Cart - Items stay until a user removes, or orders.

The needs improvement section

From the moment of installation, until now, I have not had a single error with the script.

This product could only really be improved by user involvement.  With it being free, open source, this is a user driven development, and with it being new on the market, we can only wait for more extentions to be added to the list, or create them ourselves.

Why I think you should use this product

If you are looking for a powerful, beautiful, sleek, strong e-commerce solution, you should certainly give this a look.

How does it compare to similar apps

Nicer Looking Themes
Hugely Organised Admin Panel

Conclusions

My conclusion is simple and is as follows:

If you don't use it now because its new, keep checking back every few days, see all the new things that have been added, and modified, and if in 2 weeks time you prefer another script, then so be it.  However, if you are serious about setting up an online shop, either a new one, or an upgrade of a current one, this is the script for you.

Fundraisers with themes, and random gifts (electronic or physical, either way) are always great fun, even without the gifts and such, they are always brilliant if they are themed.
