Been aware of PGP since its earliest incarnation on the Amiga, used it sporadically but that was before I switched over to x86 hardware.

A polished solution for this should have been part of thunderbird for a decade instead of relying on clunky plugins or obscure tools if it should have had any chance.

I can't tell you how long it's been there but Thunderbird->Write->Options->Encrypt Message

2013-08-17 14_18_57-.png

You just need a SSL Certificate, (which are free), and the recipient needs to use digitally signed email, (so you have the recipient key to encrypt with).

Very easy.

What I'm worried about isn't so much the flat-out-in-your-face draconian attacks on basic Natural Rights. I'm more worried about sappers. Those insidious tunnelers that work unseen in the darkness... They're only visible if you actively look for them.

No problem, Tinman has that covered:

As wonderful as your opinion is on this, I just have to disagree, at least for the U.S. side of things, because most U.S. citizens are sheeple, with their heads buried deep in the ground.  It's why the government has been getting away with so much all these years.....

Game of Thrones Piracy “Better Than an Emmy,” Time Warner CEO Says

“Our experience is that it leads to more paying subs. I think you’re right that Game of Thrones is the most pirated show in the world. That’s better than an Emmy,” Bewkes said.

Oh dear, the MAFIAA are going to hate him.

4wd: We do have plans for more elaborate clip handling along the lines that you mention.

;D

re: your problem. We do offer support by email so you are always welcome! There was a problem where the auto copy was not working in some cases. So we have now disabled this setting by default. If you uncheck "auto copy when clipping", then manual copy (ctrl+C) and paste (Win+V) works reliably.

I've been using Ctrl+C and Win+V which does work fine, clipping from my browser used to work - then it just stopped from any browser.  At the moment it's not annoying me enough to spend the time to work out why so I'm leaving it until I have to reinstall the OS.

There is another utility called cb.exe that does the same thing, though I'm not sure what source I got it from.

You can download cb.exe from the AutoHotkey FAQ: Download link

Watched the original American SuperHero last night:

A remake is apparently on the books from the director of Iron Man 3 - I hope they make a better job than the original.

Non-Windows Software / Re: What Android apps do you use to read digital books?

After a minute or two in each I decided that FBReader seemed possibly very good

The only thing with FBReader I've found is that I'm constantly being surprised by, "I didn't know I could that!"

All depends where you put your finger on the screen...one day I'll read the manual.....or not  ;D

FBReader - only one I've ever used since it suits my needs and was faster than any other I tried, (on my phone).

^ Okay Perry. (Now where did I put my boat-shoes?)

Remember to take two copies  ;D

Actually, just autograph one for me and put it aside - then when the whole (duo|tril|quadri)logy is complete, I'll have the set in a nicely autographed Perry-inspired hardsleeve cover.

Postage will be cheaper too.  :P

What I'd like to see is an option, (or more preferably a hotkey eg. Win+Shift+V), where you highlight the content, hit the hotkey and it then asks you where in your tree/db you want the note to be put.

Rather than set everything up beforehand or start reorganising at the end of a clipping session.

I really wish he had a forum for users because my clipping from browser no longer works at all and it'd be helpful to see if anyone else had the same problem and a solution.

Not very forward thinking of the designers, they should have covered the 7xx MHz frequencies also.

That *does* sound useful.  Though I really only get those problems after the cable goes down for some reason.  I wonder if it could sense that and reboot...

You may be able to modify the following to do it, (it runs on your router): Automatic Connection Repair (always_on.sh)
2915
ASUS RT-N16 running Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-112 K26 USB AIO (Shibby).

Currently have DNSCrypt enabled in the router to CloudNS, (Australian public encrypted DNS: CloudNS).
Also just started using: Clean, Lean and Mean Adblocking - I've disabled AdBlock+ in Pale Moon, (I probably won't notice any difference anyway since I was already using the MVPS hosts file to block most ad/tracking servers).

Next on the todo list is setup the two VPN clients to my OS VPS' and redirect specific VLANs to one or the other, that way I can just swap IPs on any of the computers to have them go via a different VPN.

For lot's of good info on Tomato: Tomato Firmware

I mailed a similar size/weight book to a friend recently.  It was six dollars and change.

To Australia?

I don't even want to know the overnight rate  :P

DHS issued an alert?

All of a sudden these guys are working for us again? What's up with that?

I was going to say it's the old Bad Cop, Good Cop routine.

First they hit with the news that you ain't going to be safe on TOR, then they come across all friendly by giving you a heads-up where you might be vulnerable.

All the while, what they're really trying to do is screw you over some other way.

I'd be interested but after looking up the postage rates on USPS I'm either doing something wrong or it's over twice the price of the book  :-\

Silly question but since you have the phone number couldn't you search on it?

eg. Google

Since my preferred movie genres are completely opposite my partner's - I watch it on the computer while doing other things.

But for the really rare one that we both enjoy: WDTV Live -> 68cm Sony Trinitron

I know you've been busy with the website and all but did you get to look at the few comments Perry and I put against the last GDocs version?

I'm thinking, just in case you wanted to amend anything before it got set in stone, (or on paper as it were)  :)

@CleverCat: Make sure you disable WPS in your router once you have set up any wireless devices that require it.
