Hm, you might have liked a 22" full-hd resolution (1920x1080) for even more screen real-estate better then 1680x1050, and the price shouldn't be a problem, as most of them have even the same price

Idea: WindowsStealer
-fenixproductions (August 12, 2011, 09:11 AM)
Yeah, nice idea

Maybe something like this could be an extension to Screenshot Captor?
-fenixproductions (August 12, 2011, 09:11 AM)
No, that would add bloat to something that's in a total different league.
Should be added to a WinSpy/WinInfo-like tool, IMHO

That's one of the main protocols of WinSCP :D

I'd say: Go for it!
The WinSCP script isn't that had to grasp, IMHO, and if you can do it by hand, who (c/w)ould stop you doing it mechanically?

Does anyone know what the difference in features is in WebStorm vs PhPStorm?
From the PhpStorm page:
Note: PhpStorm includes all the functionality of WebStorm (HTML/CSS Editor, JavaScript Editor) and adds full-fledged support for PHP.

There are a few settings in Advanced/Accessibility that talk about arrow keys and typing/searching (no screenshot, non-English FF here), are they wrongly set perhaps?

Did you switch the games to that 1920x1080 resolution as well? I've hardly seen any game (except for the simplest) that switches automatically to the maximum available resolution, that's always a user-setting.

Major Update v1.0.1.3 fixes a bug or two and ...
Major update.  Version 1.0.1.4 introduces full pie-charting for ...

I have a request for version numbering: Could 'Major updates', as mentioned above, actually be reflected in the version number? Going from 1.0.1.3 to 1.0.1.4 feels like a minor bugfix release, instead of adding new charting features as you have. I'd have gone at least from 1.0 to 1.1 for what you now call 1.0.1.4

That's about a refresh-rate of 59 or 60 Hz, not MegaHz, and the rate depends on the combination of screen, it's firmware and the frequency of the power supplied to it.

Screenshot Captor / Re: Screenshot Captor v2.95.01 won't extract
« Last post by Ath on August 01, 2011, 10:13 AM »
when I right-click the file, I am not given the option of extracting the contents

Guess you need to use some un/zip shell extension (like 7-zip)? The default Windows un/zipper doesn't support extracting from .exe files AFAICS

I'd start at this StackOverflow thread and follow the links mentioned there.

You could just read the registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnInstall\*, and insert Wow6432Node between Software and Microsoft too to get the 32 bit stuff on x64 Windows), be sure to enable 64 bit mode on 64 bit Windows tough.

If you want a nicely predefined view, get one of several SysInfo tools.

Like that your link doesn't work.
It will if you scrape off the extraneous prefix: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australasia

A real pain will be to merge data from binary files like Office documents and databases. All the usual (D)VCS systems are based on merging text-like documents, such as source files of a programming language, not binary data. Some of them have extensions/plug-ins to read/compare/merge Word or pdf documents, and that's often the best you can get. For comparing/merging databases there's a whole different SW industry, (I've not investigated 'cause I don't need nor want to go there).

I/we usually do the merges we need to do with an IDE like Eclipse and/or Visual Studio and their available plug-ins (for SVN, that's our central VCS of choice), and so far there have not really been merging issues, not even with international development teams working on the same repository.

Much easier once I set bbc to the top of the list. :)

That's what I did too :D

It takes some getting used to, but I think it's quite useful

Guys!  Check this out!
http://balsamiq.com/products/mockups

It's pretty amazing.  You can essentially create a mock application quite easily.  This might be very important for me.  I always have software ideas, but not being a programmer, it's difficult for me to accurately explain my vision.  This would be awesome for that.  I'm probably going to use it for coding snack ideas...

This was one of the USP's of Delphi, back in the days. Throw together a UI working with the 'customer', add some (semi)working code, and give a nice demo.

And now MS is doing it 'all over again' with Visual Studio Lightswitch, it seems

Maybe that should have said: It's early, and it's beta, but not an early beta ;D
